I can imagine the slight mockery during the first half, what with the shaky commands and the clear disregard for the potential danger the listener is in, followed by immediate compassion and empathy during the caring process. I don’t usually get *this* immersed into the stories I listen to this way, but this audio made me feel like I was truly there, in a hut in the woods, caring for a poor injured girl just trying to do a service for the dead. Thanks for this one, Fae! You’ve really outdone yourself! Edit: Also just LOVE these types of stories, where the speaker and listener build a bond that isn’t romantic. I feel like the listener and speaker go on to become the closest of friends after this day, with the listener possibly even learning some Elvish through their travels together. Fantastic work!
These healer listeners sure do lead interesting lives x3 Excellent work as always Fae! So many audios with a bratty/tsundere speaker can struggle with really selling the character, especially when it comes to matching the tone to their words and actions, but you did a phenomenal job with that, like you always do x3 It's genuinely impressive how well you express such a wide range of characters and personalities while making each one feel real and distinct!
Gently picking her up, carrying her over to my bed and tucking her in. Whispering to her: "You rest your eyes really good now, i watch out for the bandits. No worries, i won't let them close to you OR the egg. And tomorrow i prepare some breakfast that will give you your strength back." Then i pick up a weapon, glancing outside. No trace of the ones after the dragon egg, but you never know. Looking worried over to the little elf and mumbling to myself: "I am sorry your first encounter with our kind was a unpleasant one, but there are good humans too..." thx for the video Fae
Something tells me the listener could nock her out flat even if she wasn't injured i just like to believe The listener doesn't like violence and would rather play along.
Just leaving it alone to heal? What a magnificent concept! I wonder how well that's worked in the past, why don't you try asking everyone else who tried that? You'll have to do some digging first, and I will warn you that unless you're a necromancer, the bones won't be very talkative.
"You want me to lie down... on the bed?"
No the floor-yes the bed

Thank you so much! I'm always happy to hear that I was able to get a listener so immersed

Wait till she learns that I’m not just a healer. I’m a druid, lol.
