I’m a Canadian vacationing in China 🇨🇳 up at 1:45AM and can’t sleep because I know my brothers are getting ready for a big match in 1 hour. These timely videos are great for pre match excitement, the watched “On guard” ❤️ 🇨🇦 go Canada go 🇨🇦
Great to see Canada Soccer putting a little enthusiasm into the MNT. But to grow the fan base, these need to be commercials on TV during hockey and basketball games etc. Drive up the fan base and the revenue, and good things should follow. I'm very excited about the next half dozen matches!
Not sure if you have the players for an intensive pressing tactic though. Not enough players are playing if high intensity leagues I think. But time will tell. Seemed you guys ran out of steam after a good start yesterday.
The key is young kids in Canada seeing these games and getting inspired (a stunning result or two would help!) to pursue being a star footballer instead of a mediocre hockey player. That will set the foundation for the program for the next generation.
Flop. Winning the Austrian bundesliga isn't exactly a huge thing. He'll probably use this job as rebound for something else. As for that Davies, with his ego, with the national team, he's treated as if he's Messi, glad in Bayern he's told to take a seat. He wouldn't have made it in the '86 Canada world cup team. He can't even cross at bayern.
Yet he starts most games when he's not injured at Bayern and has been selected to 4 all Bundesliga teams. Stop. Literally no one on the 86 team was capable of that.
@@HaelRhys Playing in big leagues and being considered one of the best at your position in the world is generally a good indicator of how good someone is. The two are clearly signifcantly highly correlated. Also you tend to be paid more to play in the best leagues. Ain't nobody on the 86 team scoring the goal Davies scored against Real Madrid in champions league. My prefered sports are soccer and basketball.
@@HaelRhys He is the regular starter at left back for Bayern. Hence the four time all Bundesliga team. That means he's been voted the best at that position in Germany four times. You have to play most games in order for that to happen. Also, when Joao Cancelo came from Man City, he was brought in for defensive depth, he plays the same position as Davies. Davies kept his starting job. Soccer is a team game to say that he flopped rather than the team or coach is absurbed. There were players on the team who played way worse than he did. He also scored the first World Cup goal in Canada's history. Not some dude from 86. Keep up the illogical hating.
Looking forward to a busy and successful June for this team! Good luck, have fun, and play hard ⚽

I am so excited for this! we really do not have the players to play with possession (contrary to Herdman). We need to play in transition like Uruguay.

Marsh will never be on the same level as bielsa
@@wagwanbros1630 who is arguing that?

Speaking as a Leeds fan, I have reservations about this appointment :/

Although I agree that he can be a little over-rated at times, it's ridiculous to say he wouldn't have made the 86 squad.

Worst take I've ever read.
