just picked up a savage x 4.6 up of ebay. it was in bits so only cost 100 pounds. its in mint condition now its back together and the engine hadnt even been run in mate. good video thanks dude
@@conceptBuilds yeah well chuffed with it mate. New servos and a metal spur gear gonna test it out today now its stopped raining. I think they took it apart and forgot how it went back together lol. Bought a blank shell for it so i can keep the original safe too 🙂
@@conceptBuildsthis isn’t just a savage x.this looks to be the top of the line savage x ss.I have one.go it for $200 never run.was someone’s shelf queen and also had to un seize the engine..yours has the same pipe tires rims steel spur ajustable turnbuckles steel discs and most likely the alloy diffs
I have a "MINT" 2012 HPI SAVAGE. When I built it out of the box, I replaced the 4.6 Nitro and put in the HPI 5.9 Engine. It's NEVER been started or ran, I even have that exact same RADIO. It is literally still like BRAND NEW!
@@JeffreyStrader nonsense, I just recently got mine back out and running my fuel ive had for over 12 years now, I too thought the same thing, no way its still good..... I was wrong it runs perfectly fine. you should break that bad boy out get you some of that 5.9 you know its a BEAST !
I just bought 2 savage .25s from marketplace for $160 USD and got a bunch of spare parts and bodies with them. After some tinkering, then adding new flysky receivers, battery packs and 1 pull starter, they both run like new. One of them has functioning reverse, too! I'm into both of them for about $100 each in purchase price and parts. Hard to believe you can pick these up used for sub $100, especially considering $100 USD in Biden terms doesn't buy much of anything..
First of all, go and get yourself some proper pliers! Needle nosed pliers are totally unsuitable for what you are trying to do! A small pair of chanel locks will work much better.
Would like to see nitro make a comeback, especially monster trucks 😎👍
That would be so cool!

@@Oldcupcake6012 Oh nice just checked and yeah your right it is an SS Kit!
Would heating up the block while the engine was seized help un seize it?
It dose help yeah, most times a squirt of wd40 with some big pliers gets the job done

@@conceptBuilds honestly, my health is slowing down my hobbies. I still have a gallon of the racing fuel I purchased, sealed. (probably no good now)

have the sledgehammer S50 with a ceased engine. looking to restore it, so hoping I can free up the 8cc nitro engine because seems impossibly rare
Hope you get the job done, wow that is very rare we've got to keep nitro alive!
