I know this is an old comment, but there are two heads for most drums. The one that you actually hit, which I believe is technically called the batter head, and the other one, which is called the resonate head.
It really depends on the space you have at home and if you have neighborhood or not. If you can't make much noise and if you don't have much space, an electronic drumset is the best choice. Also, it is a great way to start you drumming journey. If you prefer organic sounds and if you are all good to make noise, you can opt for acoustic drums, which i personally prefer. Hope this helps you in your choice ;) good luck!
NO, I have searched everywhere which sucks because I didn't think to look and Christmas eve comes and I have no key to put it together.. They should clearly point this out..
This is a very useful video. I didn't have to search anywhere else to complete the assembly of my Ludwig Element Evolution. This video with its second part describing the assembly of the hardware is having just everything a novice needs to know on the subject. Thank you, Mr. Joel Jacobs.
Any one watching this as a complete beginner like me if the drum skin is larger than the shell its self you have it upside down flip it over and it should slide right on took me a minute but watched another video and figured it out
Turns out that my Ludwig kit did in fact include a key with the hardware. It was tough to find but in between my frantic tossing of empty cardboard boxes and using a few select adjectives I was able to find it. It was in the bag with the hi hat hardware...perhaps this info will help some of you...
Thanks, Joel! Just got my first set, a Ludwig kit that came without any instructions and their website is barren. They should be paying you for your service. This video was a godsend.
First time drummer. My kit had plastic washers come with the bass drum but not the toms. They all have metal washers though. Do I need to use the plastic washers for only the bass, all of the drums, or none of the drums?

Engireer let's play spot the elitist metal head.
It depends, i started with an electric drum kit and now have an acoustic kit
Probably depends on your age? I'm 54 and have never played an electronic drumset.
if the user can be found at the bottom line is that the only way to get the video of this
Does it come with a drum key

When you don’t have the drum key type beat🙃 and if you have to buy it online the shipping itself cost more than the damn key😑😑
