Websites vs WebApps

Websites are collection of web pages. developed using HTML, CSS etc.
where as Web Applications are developed using HTML+CSS and with a back end support of web services or web methods.

hello sir i have some doubt...after two or three images u showed u were talked about the static website and seemed one aeromark came from web server (contain some two or three web sites )to static web site..Here my doubt is is web server is contains some web sites???who does it meaning ??..In my gained instinct..web server used for only as a server..it will take the user information to databases and will collect and get and return back to user..here web server is used as a server..how webserver contain web sites or web pages??..Really i cannot understand please explain i dont get so much knowledge ...please help to clarify my doubts... thank ou

The business logic and programs resides in the Application Server not the Web Server. Apart from this mistake everything is clear and fine.
