Would you say it's better staying further downtown the row of rooms? Are you able to get a golf cart to use if you get a lower room or have to walk up always? Do you park up near common area? How fara away is volcano if wanted to hike that way?
yes they do have golf carts if you do not want to walk. There are several cheerful drivers and you can call ahead for them or sometimes they can just grab you while they are en route. Personally I did like the walking BUT there were definitely times when it was a bit too humid so yeah I would request a room location on the hill based on your activity level.
You aren't technically allowed to hike to the volcano. The hotel is one of the closer locations in all of the area to the volcano which makes for nice views when he clouds cooperate. The Amor Arenal has also created their own trails in the jungle which you can do solo or with a guide but those are jungle based and not in view of the volcano. The volcano is more of a stunning backdrop than a destination even if you are "close."
Very helpful video as we are in the process of choosing between Nayara vs Arenal. We are going with Nayara as it seems to be more resort-like vs Arenal which seems to be more of a boutiquey experience.
I know both resorts have good concierge services but we did not include it because we didn’t really use these services on this most recent trip since Coco is very pregnant and we didn’t book any adventures through the concierge services. Knowing what I know, I would say they are both good in that regard.
Hi! How did you both get to the hotels from the airport? Did you rent a car from somewhere or go a service through the hotels themselves? Thanks, this video helped a lot!
Thanks for watching. I prefer flying into Liberia airport. It’s easier and almost no traffic compared to the congested San Jose capital. Renting a car is pricey but so is long distance car service but that’s what it is. Helicopter costs are insane and technically there’s an air strip in La Fortuna but you would need to arrange another flight… the easiest bet is to rent a car and enjoy the gorgeous drive
I was torn between the two resort this along with your comparison video was a tremendous help. Amor Arenal it is! I aid people in booking vacations and I have a few recommendations for this area so I'll advise they stay away from Nayara If they can avoid it 😊.
Hello there! My preference is always to fly into Liberia. It's newer and more low key. It is closer to the west coast resorts along the ocean and its about the same distance to La Fortuna there.
Yeah the Nayara Springs is so much more costly. I feel like their prices have gotten that high because there hadn’t been a strong luxury competitor in the past but Amor Arenal may very well be changing the landscape in the future. I can’t see why NS is over double the cost. Simply not worth it.

This is making me so excited to start the new year at Amor Arenal. This was my choice of place. It's calling me!❤ thank you for this!

Parking your own car onsite is done down by the lobby so you do not use your car at all on property.

How are their concierge services? I didn't hear about that.

I wonder why there is such a huge price gap, I don't understand

Yeah that isn’t even close of a comparison
@@worldoadventures7512 I agree, its pretty easy to choose between the two resorts... at least for us...
