Hello Mr. DeLauer. Let me start by saying, you and your channel have greatly inspired me to continue living a healthy lifestyle and to workout. I am a physician from the Philippines and the long work hours often preclude any opportunity to be healthy (sleep deprivation, fastfood takeouts, stress, etc). I really appreciate the fact that you take considerable time and effort in doing research and in presenting your findings. Your videos are very informative and are medically sound. You sir are a hero to the countless people like myself, who have struggled with weight loss and motivation. Thank you and more power to you.
I've been mixing 5 grams of Creatine, 5 grams of Beta-Alanine, instant coffee mixed with ice cold water in a shaker cup. I think this is the best pre workout drink and also the cheapest.
I do this as well except add citruline-Malate as it’s still fasting friendly. Tastes like absolutely shite but it gets the job done. Also funny to make my friends taste it
@@UghIHateTheseThings I do add the citruline- malate and Taurine. To fix the taste, I add a shot of a flavored sweet cream or vanilla extract drops which is what I had today.
@@cantescape4310 I've been watching that for a couple decades and haven't lost any so I think it has more to with heredity than creatine. I do take a double Biotin daily and that makes my nails and hair grow much faster.
@@bobwallace9814 Creatine puts androgenic alopecia intro overdrive and I like to inform people about that. This video helped me out a lot. I was taking 5g lf creatine monohydrate mixed with my pre-workout daily before workout. I felt strong but felt wasted and started retaining water. I somewhat was maintaining my weight but started getting fatigued at the same time every day. I was on this routine for a few years and felt like something was missing in my results. Thank you for breaking it down. Always love the way you dive into the research for your videos.
I drink black cold coffee during every workout at the end of my fast everytime. But I've been putting my creatine in my morning and evening ACV drink. Thanks Thomas!
Creatine supplements absolutely benefit you due to phosphate engine. Caffeine in moderation shows to stimulate the nerves. The problem is in the effect of calcium by caffeine. In my understanding is concentric and essentric movements are benefited by creatine. Caffeine mostly only benefits concentric strength. When taking together, matcha I use with the morning before workout. I then use creatine intake throughout the day I take about 5 grams per day with a body weight of 196 lbs. I am good at pushing myself. When I run out of matcha tea (it is expensive) and continue creatine use, my performance reduces a bit without the caffeine and the few micro nutrients matcha has, including amino acids. When just on caffeine (from matcha) I can push harder mentally, but there is a little less strength.
I load with 20g's of creatine. (The unflavored kind.) 10g in the morning. The other 10 at night, for about a week. Then I reduce it to 10g's per day. I usually put my creatine in hot cocoa or hot coffee, since it's not really water soluble. Even the micronized version still remains.
Hey I wanted to ask, is it okay to mix the creatine with hot tea or hot coffee to make it more soluble? I heard that heat can sometimes make the creatine useless is that a myth?
