i love op had the balls to use rs3 to mention rs speaking of rs. eso is the only mmo ive ever seen capable to competing with rs in terms of questing and thats one hell of an accomplishment in my book. i dont like mmos but rs is so out there that it never felt like your typical mmo. eso feels like an mmo but those quests kept me playing for a hot while
@@GameplayOssboss you cancel the animation right after a attack, in ESO its block, so you use a normal attack, cancel the animation to quickly get a skill in, this process can make your dps go much much higher and in this game its kind of required, they even advertise it. i dont mind animation canceling but it gets quite annoying and very spammy but if done well it makes the game smooth, like dodging out of a attack mid-animation instead of being locked in it, if you ever had such experience. why even do this? its called "weaving" basically auto attacks weaved into the rotation, they are important to get resources(for your skills) back and add quite some DPS over time too, so the better you practice and master this the more dps you will have in the end, if you want to do high end anything, you Have to do it and obviously, pvp, without it you can basically forget it right away since everyone is doing it so you have to do it too or you give yourself a major handicap right away
@@GameplayOssboss you can totally play this game without doing it but on the high end, you wanna squeeze out every bit you can. just have fun and enjoy!
Not like the bar is that high - most MMOs are inferior to single-player RPGs in terms of freedom of choice. I regret the 1000 hours I put into ESO, but I enjoyed every hour I put into Baldur’s Gate 3.
@@francisco646 I went through all kinds of mmo's and rpg's, and ended up completely hooked with Warframe, over a decade year old looter-shooter, originally I tried it in 2017 and didn't think much of it, but the game improved a lot recent years and I already have over 1k hours playtime, it lets you trade premium currency with other players for things you can farm in the game and most importantly the devs actually listen to and engage with the playerbase, not to mention the amazing story and soundtracks. I checked this video cause I got ESO for free a while back but I only spent some time in the character creation and uninstalled it, tbh I'm not impressed with the gameplay.
I think ESO could be so much more than it currently is. The floaty/spammy combat is absolute dog shit and the difficulty in the overworld is so absurdly easy, that it kills the immersion for me.
Kinda how mmo combat works, there's combos and bar set ups for that very reason and overworked content isn't supposed to be challenging minus the world bosses otherwise you'd be stuck for months in ur starter area
Coming from other mmo that's pretty much the epitome of the combat. I prefer that over being locked into a specific weapon and not knowing until 50 levels down the line just to have to create a new character. To each their own, I can see the criticism.
@@thesambehindtheslaughter8843 I have played many MMOs in the last 20 years and only a few of them had a combat system as shitty as ESO's. This is not only my personal opinion, but the No.1-thing, this game constantly gets criticized for. And i have no problem with a game being "not as hard", but you literally have to strip yout character of all equipment to feel any resistance when questing in the overworld. You one-shot everything you encounter, even with mediocre gear. As i said, it's so laughable, it kills the immersion.
The problem is that it is an MMO FIRST and an Elder Scrolls SECOND. This kills many of the things that make a TES game a TES game: time gates, no impact in the world, gear treadmill, uninteresting combat, login rewards, daily quests, etc. I know I sound very critical of the game but this comes from a place in my heart yearning for the next TES experience and I think single player for this world is just what fits best.

Iv ben playing eso for 10 years, easily one of the best games I ever played

Exactly my thoughts on how much there is to do. You can live this game haha
i like it too, checking it out from time to time is always fun but i really dislike the animation canceling

Thank you for explaining. :)
I only play quests and some daily dungeons, so i wont need it. :)

Best mmo hands down
