- hi guys! come with me for a productive day of work, getting a new vlogging camera, and hanging with friends :)
I have been on the fence between the dji pocket 2 and canon powershot v10 for a long time - if you have any experience with either I would LOVE your thoughts!

i use the canon powershoot v10 myself for my channel, and i love it. It has so many things you can do with it just with the settings! I really love this video
OK well I’m glad you like it because I watched a few UA-cam shorts or like too many videos people just explain and showing what it does. And it was on sale for like $399 on Amazon. It’s even lower than that. It’s 300 and something for cyber Monday so I bought it. It will be here tomorrow so I was really excited about it so I’ve been going down a rabbit hole watching more UA-cam videos about it and people are comparing it to the pocket three which is the newest one that tiny stabilizer camera and people are comparing it to like the newest iPhone and now I’m feeling like I’m regretting it.
Yeah, a lot of people do reviews comparing it to like iPhone 14 iPhone 15 or the pocket three which if I could I would get the pocket three but it’s not in my price range anything $500-$600 I cannot afford and it wasn’t even on sale. And then I went to rabbit hole watching more videos and I was like oh no maybe this was a bad idea so you say you love it that’s a good thing I have to watch more videos and I need to find more to make me feel good about buying it because right now I’m starting to think I made a bad purchase
Like I was totally fine with my purchase until an hour ago and now I’m like Amazon has it shipped yet maybe I can cancel it I don’t know I’m just like freaking out that I made the wrong choice because I keep watching more more videos cause I want to learn like what all it can do and instead of kept clicking on the wrong videos, they were comparing it to other cameras, or they were people who said it’s a love hate they love it, but they also really hate It And I was just like lovely they’re all saying it’s not very stable and the battery life and I’m just like oh no I made the worst choice ever so I’m hoping I made the right choice for me and my boyfriend for our channel we do UA-cam we also do TikTok and we also do a lot of short form content so I’m hoping it will be OK for that but the point is I just hoping I made the right choice. Your comment made me feel a little better cause I just been seeing so many people tell me that that was a bad idea so I need even one person it’ll make me feel better, like I said the cameras that people recommended to me I cannot afford them pocket three. I forget the full name of it. The pocket three that is way out of my budget and that wasn’t on sale at all so I’m hoping I made the right choice.
How long does the battery last and how long does it take to fully charge?
@@aliceruss04 it last for bereden 50minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes where your are filmning, and charching is around 1,5 hours😊

hi, ive been looking for comparisons between DJI Pocket 2 and the Canon v10. What's your take on them both?
@@cheykph hii! I like both cameras but I tend to always reach for my canon more and I think it's just with my film style tbh. But here's a list of pros/cons I found:
dji pocket 2
pros:
- the gimbal makes the footage soooo stable!!
- the camera rotating makes it nice to use too, one of the reasons I first bought the cam.
- super small and slim for a shy vlogger like me, very unnoticeable when I walk around filming.
- I like the zoom in/out function while filming + how you can position where the lens is facing as well with the lil joystick. -can also directly plug it into your phone if you want to import footage straight to your phone.
cons: I found it overheats and turns off after around 1hr of filming.
- although the case it comes with is nice, I find it makes it more annoying when I want to film something that's happening quickly as it takes an extra couple seconds to remove it from the case and turn it on. ALSO turning on the cam itself and pressing record takes a couple secs longer than the canon imo.
- Because of its long thin shape it's harder to stand the cam somewhere without a tripod and have it be stable, (I can easily get a tripod but for me the less accessories I need the better for a smaller unnoticeable filming setup for a shy vlogger like me lol)
canon v10 pros: super small!! literally the size of a credit card.
- comes with it's own built in stand so no need for tripod (really convenient for when I wanna just put my cam down literally anywhere)
- the amnt of time to turn it on and record is sooo much faster than the dji pocket 2
- i personally like the colouring of this cam better than the dji
- it can also be used as a webcam for livestreaming too which is cool
- screen is bigger so it's easier to see what you're filming
- more of a wide angle lens too so don't have to hold my arm out as much to film
cons: can't zoom in/out while filming, gotta do it before you record which sometimes can be annoying but its okie (I think I just got used to the luxury of that feature on the dji)
- since theres no gimbal I had to get used to filming with a more stable hand since I am naturally more shaky - I did learn there is a stable filming mode but it removes the wide angle the lens offers
overall, I really like both cams but I do prefer my canon v10 BUUT tbh if the dji cam style is more your preference I think it would be better to go for the new dji 3 cause I personally think the newer model looks sooo much better than the dji 2

After reading, im pretty confident in getting the V10, I also feel like it will look more “normal” in public because it appears as like a phone from far distance. I have trouble seeing small things so I feel DJI 2/ especially and the 3 will be an issue for my eyes to really see what I’m filming! The gimbal is what made me want to maybe get it, because like you I have shaky hands, but I realized that I’m not out and about much enough to need a gimbal and I really will be filming at school haha so the Canons stabilization should be good enough!

Get the new DJI Pocket 3 that just came out, it will destroy the little vlogging cameras that you own now and will make your image to a new other lever for sure.

i like it a lot! its very convenient and got me comfortable with filming myself, especially in public! I'm usually very shy about those things. Hopefully you can get it for your singapore trip!~

hi thank you!!🤍 i was using the ulanzi lens for a very small portion of the video, most of it was to test out the powershot. However, i only have used the ulanzi lens so i don't have any to compare it to 😭. I also actually recently stopped using it bc the weight of the lens can wear out the motor of the camera when it retracts the lens when it's turned off - i've noticed mine taking longer when i power it off 😢

thank you! I used iMovie from the beginning but up until very recently I started using FCPX and sometimes capcut!

I ended up keeping it! It helped me get familiar with filming myself and its so convenient in busy settings :)

I love your style, how do you like the V10 for food vlogging? I was thinking of getting one since I vlog at restaurants a lot, and would love to not attract a lot of attention with my big cameras.

the battery life is pretty impressive! I love using it for food since my other camera tends to attract attention especially when im eating in public. I just posted a video about the powershot so hopefully you can see how small it is when I'm out in public and eating:)

Can you tell me which the best one canon v10 or sony zv?
I actually use both! I would say the sony zv1 footage comes out more clean and in focus and would definitely use it for long term. But the v10 is really convenient if youre shy filming in public like me! The only thing thats really stood out to me is that it isn't good at filming in dark / night / low light areas
did you get a charger with the camera

It good actually!! Which one would you recommend to someone who wants to do primarily vlogs?
@@brunaguedes_6 I would say it really depends on your comfort level! theyre both subtle 'discreet' cameras for shy vloggers but I find the built-in stand of the powershot to be easy to work with. The dji also comes with a mini tripod too and the gimbal feature will make the video quality more smooth compared to the powershot. However, its just not something I wanted to take the time to learn which is why I stuck with the powershot :)
