Please, someone who has knowledge on this matter, help me. I have been a Christian all of my life, but I have recently started my walk and personal relationship with the Lord. A man of God offered to help me on my journey, and he told me that the first thing I needed to do is for me to take a spiritual bath and wash my hands with salt water (This is because I have been dealing with itching hands). But I am unsure if this is biblical or not. Prophet Abednego, if you see this, please help me. And to anyone else who has the answer to this, please help me as well.
Sounds like witchcraft honestly. That person may not exactly be 'helping'. I'd suggest just being consistent reading the word and spending time with God, talking to Him, praying and listening. God has taught me so many things Himself.
That sound like witchcraft to me also. When I was a little girl I got baptized but when I got grown I went out in the world and lived a sinful life. When I turned 22 years old, I got saved and re-dedicated my life to God. I excepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I repented of my sins and got re-baptized in the name of Jesus. In my prayer time before the Lord I asked God to fill me with His Spirit, to come on the inside of me and abide in and allow me to abide in Him(God). To bless me to speak in His( God) heavenly language and He( God) speak to me in His( God) heavenly language. A couple of weeks after I prayed that prayer, I went to Bible class, and God filled me with the Holy Ghost ( God Spirit) with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The tongues automatically came out of my mouth when the Holy Ghost came on the inside of me as in the bible. I stayed in the word and prayed for God to open the eyes of my understanding of His( God) WORD. I went to church every Sunday and bible class. At home I stayed before the Lord in prayer and worshipping God through song, sing to Him(God) and glorifying His name building a personal relationship with God. I fasted and prayed. God spoke to me while I was studying His word and told me to BELIEVE HIS "WORD". When I started believing His word while waiting on God to open my understanding, I started experiencing the word manifesting in my life and seeing my self growing in God and seeing God opening the eyes of my understanding. I began to spiritual perceive what the word was saying and began to grow in the knowledge of God. When we hunger and thirst after God's righteousness, God will fill us as He said in His word. I've been writing them down in my journal and asking for guidance to interpret them. The pastor I consulted with explained some of the dreams to me, but when he mentioned "spiritual washing" I became confused and stopped talking to him. I want to make sure that everything I believe in aligns with biblical teachings. I'm wary of being deceived, as others have misled me in the past. As the Bible says, "My people perish due to lack of knowledge," and I don't want to risk following false teachings.
