Yeah, seeing Naoki-san while he was performing "Drift", I was convinced that Happy Chaos just impersonating him for that song specifically - but hey, it's still in-character wise, right? (LOL!)
Maybe I mean also his vocals part I feel are harder to do when not segmented into parts like they do in studio recordings, as well as the fact that he's not completely fluent in English, which would make it a lot harder to remember these lyrics in the moment.
there should be a little more preparation for this concert. at least more time for naoki recover from the jetlag and everyone get more trust to play without playback, bro i almost didn't heard aisha's voice

Man this concert was freaking incredible I was so happy when they played mirror of the world my favorite theme. And man when the crowd was singing along to smell of the game that was just an amazing thing to be apart of I've never felt more connected to a community lol I really really hope they do another concert one day with more songs (and less technical difficulties in the beginning lol)

It's the Joe Biden of musical performance. Constant gaffes with and underlying true brilliance. (lots of love to Naoki, the circumstances surrounding the event fucked with him).
So uh, hes obviously not lip syncing but why were they playing the song's recorded vocals at the same time they were performing? Isnt that something lip syncers do?
Maybe bc the studio versions have like 3 vocals at some points? (Like smell of the game, drift or disaster of passion) Idk why they relied on it so hard tho, even for some instrumentals
idk anything about stage performance and using playback in a non-hack way, but it can probably be used to fill in stuff like the orchestral parts and extra vocal tracks that many themes have why they didn't just split the unmixed recordings and only play back what they needed to fill in, however, is entirely beyond me

The overuse of backing tracks here is honestly obnoxious. The guitarists are obviously playing something, but rarely do you hear them. They are mostly overdubbed by the original recordings. It's sad...

I understand that many people even like this atmosphere of unusual naoki's singing( idk if he was drunk or tired or something else). But if i were on a concert, i would be a little upset with that... he's perfomance was quite strange
Tbh this entire concert would have been 100 times better with just a week or two more of prep time, between rehearsals, audio balancing (rip Aisha's mic) and Naoki not being jet-lagged out of this world. And it probably would help with them not feeling like they need to rely so hard on the backtrack (I'm not an expert and don't know how they prepped for the concert tho, so maybe I'm just yapping)
