Samson doesn't even seem that bothered that he's just knocked his dad down. His father who not that long ago almost died because he was impaled and is still recovering. His father loves Samson deeply and Sam has been a devoted dad since day one. That shows a pretty horrible kid to not even be apologizing that he's pushed his father down.

Samson would probably be fine with Esther being with Amelia and not having his name on the birth certificate. he would be fine with Noah taking that role. Sam and Lydia aren't having it though, they are trying to force Samson to be something he isn't and trying to force a bond that isn't there. if they backed off then it would be fine. they would still get to see the baby and possible even be grandparents. but they won't stop pushing
I feel really sorry for Samson, at least Amelia had a choice whether she wanted to be a mother or not and had she decided not to be a mother through abortion or adoption of the baby, not a single person would have said anything bad about her. She made the decision to be a parent and thats fine but Samson should be allowed the same right - he should be allowed to get on with his life and have nothing to do with the baby, emotionally, financially or in any other way if thats his decision without anyone elses judgement. His "theory" is that if Esther is in the village he'll be reminded how much she's ruined his life every time he sees her. Nothing stopping him leaving so he doesn't have to see her though... As far as I know he isn't being asked to provide anything financially but not sure if that's come up in the episodes. Amelia definitely needs to get something legal in place quickly to sort out who the guardian will be if anything happens to her so Esther doesn't automatically go to him
