Again,Fierceness is 50/50,just what i thought in the KD,now is a short Field,it depends on who Show Up and the POST POSITION...
They need to boot Ben Curtis off of Honor Marie. And put a jockey on the horse.

Baffert was the guest in last weeks TDN’s weekly podcast. He was asked about Nysos. It sounded like he was not seriously working. Just some jogging. I think we may be looking at an early fall campaign. At least I hope. Baffert was vague.
If Thorpedo Anna runs, I am absolutely betting her. She might be the only one capable of dodging Sierra Leone’s lugging leg 😂!

Glad no Triple Crown. Hope the same thing next year. Hopefully when Belmont open again in 2026 might have a caliber horse.

Belmont only going 10f this year makes it a lot more competitve with this field.
Lets say it was 12f, are you saying it wouldn't be competitive? A certain horse would blow everyone out? Who?
Everyone has their own opinion when it comes to horse racing, and it oftentimes gets emotional/snarky pretty quickly, so preface to say this is the opinion of a single degenerate…. If the race was 12f, imo sierra leone would win by open lengths. Many of the horses in contention would not make it the last two furlongs. I would refer you to this year’s kentucky derby replay to maybe explain my view
@@amateuralchemist5984 People think slow horses/closers win the Belmont. They don''t. Hardly EVER. I'd love to know why so many people think "slow closer = good a a longer distance". Muth is the best bred blue chip 3 year old to go 1.5 on paper, imo.

Belmont is being run at 1 1/4 this year, not 1 1/2 due to Saratoga’s track configuration. The Belmont at 1 1/2 usually hinders dead closers simply because the early pace is often pedestrian due to the unusually long distance. Not the case this year. Pace will be solid with numerous speed and pressing types likely to run that include Seize the Grey, Fierceness, Dornoch, Thorpedo Anna, and possibly Mindframe and Batten Down. Sierra Leon and any other closers entered will likely have plenty of early pace to rally into unlike most Belmont’s that have been run at 1 1/2 so their chances greatly increase. 😀

Muth breezed Derby day morning 6F with a bullet work at Pimlico in 1:11 and 4 so either he recovered very quickly from a 103 fever or he was never ill and BB and pals realized they were gonna pop another positive if they ran him. 😀

Mindframe obviously has huge talent, but the horse has never been beyond 1 1/16, has only raced against winners once in a single allowance race, only has 2 races under his belt lifetime, has never faced pace pressure, has never gone 11/4 or even 11/8th, and has never faced anything close to the level of talent he would face in the Belmont if he runs and gets in. Nice horse, but unless he is just a huge price he’d be a pretty silly win bet play. 😀
@ivanboesky1520 all good points the horse has a bright future seen that the belmont probably won't happen he's possible for the pegasus LS on June 15 and the haskell on July 20 at Monmouth Park where ever he runs next excited to see what he can do..
Agreed. A very talented horse. He may even show up at Saratoga for the JD or Travers.
@ivanboesky1520 pletcher has two other colts that have some talent but haven't been seen in a while born noble and speak easy I know speak easy was a late scratch in the fountain of youth when he got loose and hit the railing and cut himself I know pletcher said he was gonna give him time off maybe you have some info on those two colt's??

Not sure what his plan is with Born Noble. Pretty sure that one has not breezed since March so he is either still in the barn with an issue or has been turned out? Speak Easy had one recorded work in mid April since the FOY and nothing since then so something is amiss with that one too, but have not heard any more than that. Hopefully they both get back on the track soon.
