@@omnipotank It being a tandem has nothing to do with overpressure, its based on the explosive mass. Spikes have 1.27 kg explosive mass compared to the 9M133 (BMP-2M missile) of 6.36 kg. You need a minimum amount of explosive mass to overpressure though its different between kinetic APHE shells and missiles.

I don’t know which information you have, but there are some nice videos of the missile on the official Rafael UA-cam Account, on one you can see an live feed from an missile in approach. You clearly can see how the missile definitely not goes center mass, it hits the turret top, like it is planned and designed too. The way gaijin made the missile in war thunder is lazy and not even close to the capability it has irl.
@theDarkside798 that's what I'm saying. in the game the missile is launched from a short range, the missile doesn't take off as high as reality, hitting the roof of the turret, because of that the cumulative jet doesn't go down the tank where the autoloader is, It just hits the roof of the turret, killing a maximum of one crew member and passing through the turret, not even damaging engine. If a missile were to go up to a huge altitude like in reality, yes, it should hit the roof, but in the game it practically flies in a straight trajectory, and still hits the roof without causing big damage.
I think they should drop the original puma down to 9.7 and drop the puma vjtf down to 10.3. Guess after playing the VJTF all day yesterday its kinda of doo doo. Mainly cause the spikes are so hit and miss
Spikes seem super hard to balance. If they're good they're gonna be very annoying to face, if they're bad they're gonna be pointless to use. Genuinely not sure where the middle ground should be.

I wouldn't mind a lot of the NATO 30mms going down by 0.3 (the VBCI, CV9035/9030, and PUMA), with the KF41 going down a lot further than that, since I've been playing much more of the soviet BMP/BMD series and they just feel so much better. However, I gotta be honest, I don't struggle in the VBCI at 9.7, so I don't fully understand the people saying that the PUMA is useless at 10.0 with it just being better in every meaningful way.

So? The 2s25 Sprut is 10.0 with 3bm60 and gen 3 thermals for both commander and gunner.... There are vehicles in all tech tree that are over performing. That happens.
The only semi reliable spike carrying vehicle is the Freccia, and that is only true because of the fact it's at 10.3 and has 8 spikes unlike all the standard 4, they should move the regular Puma to 9.7 and move the VJTF to 10.3
I just got mine yesterday, and i like it but the only problem is there's no 10.7 lineup so i end up taking it to 11.3. Which its still viable up there, but just wish it could be part of my 10.3.
In my eyes both pumas need to be moved to a lower br, 9.7 for the normal one, and 10.3 for the spike one. The puma isn't that strong anymore with all the electronics you can shoot out.
puma br currently is already perfect, no need to bring it up or down anymore. armor of this thing is so tanky and the amount of times ive been shot at, kinetic rounds and missiles, armor kept me and my 3 crew members alive. plus it has decent gun and mobility

Good video! At 10:21 your kill cam shows you the new modules like monitors and stuff. I hope they are going to add them to all of the vehicles cuz its unfair. Japanese light tanks has all the electronics, got shot 2 meters from the crew but the fragmentation of the electronics kill the crew. When i shoot a russian bmp it goes right through cuz there is nothing...
I am using some color grading during the editing process, so what you see here isn't 100% what I see in game. Though it's only a small amount of color grading.
Hey Justin, try bringing those Ahead rounds the Puma gets, they got an update not super long ago and actually kick ass now 👍 (so long as the aircraft is coming towards you tho)
I'd love to see you play the ZTZ99A after the re-model this update, it's weakspots gor smaller and its bouncing alot of shots rn. It'd also be a good chance to try out the LS-6 glide bombs!
To be fair both the PUMA VJTF and the KF-41 could be 10.0 at best, given the overall lack of difference (between the new and old PUMAs that is) and the qoute-on-qoute "advantage" of Spikes, which is very negligible. The OG PUMA could be 9.7 for all i care, it can be killed by anything 8.7 and above anyways.
You can lock on with commander sights but just like with the QN506, the launcher/the missile has to be able to see the target to lock on, which kinda defeats the point imo.
It should get its real armor and go up to max BR (as Leo 2A7V), as its the latest IFV of Germany. It shouldn’t get nerfed to fit into a BR bracket as its is now. Meanwhile the MUSS should get fixed to always cover 360°.
As a namer player I can relate to the lack of a lineup and fire-and-forget about it hitting missiles. I don’t think it warrants a BR change because the gameplay is pretty much the same whether you are at 10.7 or top tier (I play mine with my top tier lineup) but I definitely wish the spikes actually performed...
like all NATO tech that's proven to be extremely effective (Hellfires, Spikes, TOW-2Bs) they're wildly unreliable while Russian beamriders are undefeated monstrosities that are almost guaranteed kills even on missing important components as they "overpressure" (cough BMP-2M's missile overpressuring M1s/Chally 2s with reliable ease)
So as far as I can see from experience with Vilkas, Spikes are actually better at destroying aircraft then tanks. On a tank its a 30-40% chance that it will do at least something and a 10% against russian tanks whereas Aircraft it tends to hit almost every time and destroying the aircraft with a single Spike
4 spikes is WAY too little for having not the most precise missiles in the game. It doesn't bother me that it's a separate vehicle, but it's bad that it's like the only thing at 10.7 in Germany.

I hope gaijin sees how this thing does and brings it down to 10.3 and the KF41 along with it. How you gonna tell me these guys are sitting .7 ABOVE the BMP-2M. Gun with a really long TTK, anti air rounds with a really long TTK, and a small handful of missiles that don't even hit their mark half the time, and don't destroy a target half the time they do hit. They are decentky survivable for what they are, but the nerfs to berrel damage from autocannons is really showing for the Mk258. I don't think there's anything in a full downtier that would outright struggle with facing either of these guys even if they were moved all the way down to 10.0. Being where they are pretty much guarantees you will face a bunch of the wonderful top tier stuff you'd rather not without a capable kit.

Since the implementation of Enhanced Modules, the game has become crap...the slightest penetration takes you out of the game (immobilized)...it should be implemented in a simulator mod, if they still want realism.
I've long since been done with the oversaturation of WW2 in the modern gaming space. I enjoy it from time to time though modern vehicles, Thermals, darts, etc. is where I truly enjoy the game, and games in general.
The Puma is pretty capable already. Glad to see that its finally getting additional firepower. I just wish it was a mod on the original, dont want to grind for it, then grind the parts again.
They added another puma with atgm launcher that has 4x worst atgms called spike... nothing more... and they want us to grind another 175k of rp... thx gaijin but instead of adding another copy paste puma with atgm launcher, you could give the puma the atgm launcher as a modification.

So it does seem to be a bug on the Puma where your X-ray cam doesnt work sometimes.

As an El Namer player i can confirm that spikes are unreliable
KF41 and this should be 10.3. Freccia in my experience at 10.3 is more versatile than both.

It's extremely effective at taking out anything that isn't an MBT. Light vehicles and AA are 99% kill in my experience.

Since the implementation of Enhanced Modules, the game has become crap...the slightest penetration takes you out of the game (immobilized)...it should be implemented in a simulator mod, if they still want realism.

I've long since been done with the oversaturation of WW2 in the modern gaming space. I enjoy it from time to time though modern vehicles, Thermals, darts, etc. is where I truly enjoy the game, and games in general.
The Puma is pretty capable already. Glad to see that its finally getting additional firepower. I just wish it was a mod on the original, dont want to grind for it, then grind the parts again.
They added another puma with atgm launcher that has 4x worst atgms called spike... nothing more... and they want us to grind another 175k of rp... thx gaijin but instead of adding another copy paste puma with atgm launcher, you could give the puma the atgm launcher as a modification.

and playes say spike is toxic:D my opinion is spike is fk bad... no have enought pen, chemical damage, is inaccurate much time hit the hardest point on tanks, and is slow.... what the fk is 10.7 in this vehicle with 4 trash rocket and bmp2m is 10.0 with 1200mm pen rocket this do job in toptier.... 2s38 same ok no have rocket but have 230mm pen apfsds... radio fuze HE shell.. lok at he russian zsu52-2 is 7.0 and chinese zsu57-2 is 8.0 because have this HE ammo....
