You get much more rest and comfort if you can stay at home , sadly, only if you have a good helper with you, like Peter. . many prayers to you Mary a rough season for you .

Wearing long selves when getting blood done helps when you have small veins cuz it makes you warm and it gets your blood flowing better

It was so extremely hot the past few days, I am so glad you have a/c. Although I am an RN I enjoy your videos because of the relationship you have with each other and your strong faith. Have you guys heard of the Special Books by Special Kids channel? They feature mainly children and young adults with chronic/terminal illnesses, and UA-cam disabled ALL comments on their channel towards the beginning of the year. The entire community was rocked. Parents of deceased children featured on the channel lost the comfort and solace found in reading the comments of love and support left on their child’s videos. Every child lost the connection to the overwhelming support UA-cam was giving them. Absolutely heartbreaking.

You will be glad the temperature will be considerably cooler in NC this week, a bit overcast, but I think Mary will do much better with this weather. Hope you enjoy your trip!
I watch you two almost everyday. Today's video has touched my heart, Mary being sick and still serving the LORD with such joy in arranging those flowers. I pray for you a miracle, whether through a lung transplant or the word of God manifesting in your body. You surely are running your race and you will receive the great prize. Mary, you are so blessed to have such an attentive husband, your FLORENCE NIGHTENGALE nurse. You are a trooper for sure.
Peter stack some old rags or foam above the porch light, then maybe they will be to uncertain to try to make a nest there. OR, you can always put a small plastic owl hanging up there... they will stay away from there.
Your lungs, my muscles... sigh. Being an RN I served as doula quite a few times, it is very physically, emotionally draining marathon of patience and endurance and that was when I was healthy. You do well finding the joy in where you are. Hope the cool weather gets to you soon, is delicious here today
That tourniquet hack is life saving. The tourniquet is the worst part to me, lol.
Move like the wind to Duke! Who is packing all the household stuff? Can they come start working and separate keep from donate? It is so much easier to have it all done in advance than at the time of the move.

If you EVER get the chance to attend a birth DO IT! It is the most sacred act we can witness and an honor to be able to be there. I was primarily a Maternity/Newborn nurse for many years. I was also a coach for many of my friends. I was with my daughter for each of her 6 deliveries. I had many awestruck tears after every one. Though I must say as a mother watching over my daughter as she brought forth my grandchildren bound me to the eternal God, and I could actually glimpse at the reality of past, present and future. Looking into the eyes of a newborn and see the wisdom they come into the world with is beyond words. Watch a birth, you will see a whole new appreciation for the power of our Lord.

You guys are getting the heat we usually get in SoCal every.single.summer. There's a price to be paid for it being 70 degrees all winter long. Meanwhile, our weather's been nice. Mid 80s to low 90s. Sweet. I hope it cools down soon for you.

In a way, I hope the exhaustion might have been only from working in "basement air". The outside air quality hasn't been good lately either. I'm so so sorry. I think the heat is bad. I went out and, thought "today is cooler?" Ended up in bed in pain and extra medication....so far avoided ER! Fingers crossed. Those flowers were so beautiful, and I am so glad you got to make that church so beautiful for EVERYONE. I know that meant a lot to people.

Not only that, but if you've just left the hospital, and you are now in what you call 'Home Hospital', I think going to Walmart, and working with flowers at the church is just a bit much to expect of her condition right now. Before I get terrible replies, I will say, I do understand how Mary enjoy's these things, and feels she benefits from getting out. I too enjoy these types of things, and being permanently disabled as well...I also understand what causes 'flare ups'. Sometimes we have to do what's best for our bodies, even though there are other things we feel are just as important (mental health).
I'm in the hospital right now and watching you guys always cheers me up

go to The Navarette Life. Jose is such a great, funny genuine person who doesn't dwell on the negative. Rather, he is naturally joyful (without needing to say it) and has an uplifting, positive attitude. He even has a job!
The bright side your home in your own bed . No aid or nurse coming in at all hours of the night and day. I spent 14 days in hospital an had an aid staring at me middle of the night. They said l reminded her of someone she didnt like scarry. I admire your faith courage an ability to move forward. Thinking of others. Ive been watching your channel for just a short time. I saw you a year or so ago an lost track of you. Ollie is such a good dog. Almost human. You are an amazing woman Mary. Your succulents an flowers are lovely. Plants clean the air. Keep on keeping on. Prays are said for you all.

I remember it took a while last year for you beautiful birds to cotton on that the slopes of your door light didn’t work for a nest! I’m sure they will eventually get it!!! When I was on home IV’s, they gave me a belt/pouch thing to put the infuse balls/(I think u guys call them eclipse balls in the USA)-it really helped me to not get tangled-I had a PICC, rather than port-but the belt thing really helped-it’s looking like you are having to carry around your infusions-i wonder if something like a belt would help you be more hands free? Just a thought!! I sew, so I could make you one-or a couple!!! Totally happy to do that if you feel it could help, or you want to try it!! You wouldn’t have to carry your infusion balls everywhere u go, they would sit on your waist!

Peter you are just rock solid in serving and supporting Mary. The church basement looked lovely with Mary’s simple and tender flower arrangements and I noticed all the little lights which I love! We hung a cd on a light that birds wanted to nest on. It worked to make them move the nest somewhere else. We had the same situation where we had them trying to build right at the door.
You both are so refreshing to watch and seeing how positive you are during all you face! Plus I'm pregnant and really want french fries right now after watching you eat them 😂😂 praying for you guys! 💕

Don't underestimate the fact that buying a new home and moving hundreds of miles is stressful for anyone. When you are battling chronic illness that level of stress doesn't help. My poodles sleep with their heads off the bed just like Ollie does. I think it’s so funny. When she’s on my bed sometimes Daisy uses me for a pillow, but she often puts her head on the hardwood floor. How does that make sense?

This is a random question, as I have no experience of service dogs, but if Ollie is flat out asleep, does he still notice low blood sugars and alert? Or is he switched off completely? I just love you guys. Light sweatshirts in summer - I am known for that a lot of times. It is soothing when you have chronic rib pain. YOu are definitely going through a season, Mary. Despite what your physical body is going through your spiritual beauty always shines through. And Peter - what can we say about you except - do you have a much older brother? Ha ha.
