Thank You For Sharing Your EXPERTISE Sir!
That looks awesome Dean great job👍👍👍👍
Thanks Scott!!
Well done Dean. Very good idea to make the lid and finial separate. But they certainly look like one piece when assembled. And they really set off the hollow form. 👍👍I had an opportunity to buy a few of those clarinet horn blanks a while back and I passed. You just showed me the error in my ways. Never pass up a chance to get good wood. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe. 🙂🙂
Thanks Glenn, and Thanks for Watching!!!

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for Watching!!
That is amazing skill with all your (very sharp) lathe tools. You have some steady hands-- like a wood suregon... also you are truly talented . You do realize most people cannot achieve those type of results.
I am envious with your artistic vision---- I could not do that,,, shaky hands.
I would have had about a 100 skate backs after about 5 minutes.
The black wood finial turned out great.
Thanks for sharing with us. Also thanks for your posts from SWAT.
Looking forward to your next video.
Greg you are too kind, Thanks so much, and Thanks for Watching!!!

Nicely done, Dean. I definitely like the two part finial concept - especially as well sculpted as yours.
Glad you like it John, Thanks for Watching!!!
That is magnificent!! The shimmer of that black wood, even before sanding was like glass.
Thanks Jimmy!!!
C’est top Dean 👍 très jolie job bravo 👍👏
Thanks Denis!!
Hey Dean, Beautiful work. You did an amazing job. I will never be able to do that due to nerve damage from gunshot wounds my hands simply are not steady enough. I can make a hell of a bowl or wand or staff though. :) That tiny work especially on the finial is just almost impossible for me. A man has to know his limitations. You did such a wonderful job. Yall have a wonderful day.
Sorry to hear that Allyn. Thanks so much!!
@@DeansWoodworking No worries Bro. That is life. We all have our limitations as we grow older. Yall have a wonderful day.
I do understand
A beautiful finial expertly done. Thank you Dean.
Thanks Doug!!
Very informative Dean. Thank you. New sub here
Beautiful piece! Just a heads up it was real hard to see what you were doing even with the plywood background after all the shavings accumulated. Maybe brush them away regularly or turn on the extractor?
Sorry about that its always a problem with the black wood. Thanks for Watching!!!
No problem. Fantastic finial…I always watch your videos ..no pretence just good skill building info! Thanks!!
Thanks Ron, I really appreciate your comments, and you watching my videos!!!
