9:30 and 15:30 The HS80 MAX mic are very different quality, 9:30 sounds good and after maybe ICUE software update at 15:30 the quality go down, maybe some issue update or low charge compression. check this, you only can see the difference in quality headphones(flat profile maybe) on a TV or Phone not, sounds the same.
The HS80 for some reason has a better broadcast sound. Don't know why the Max version mic isn't as good. It still sounds fine but there is a distinct difference. There are several videos talking about this.
@@a.m8525 can’t compare to the hs80 but I got the hs80 max recently and my boys are telling me it’s the crispest mic they ever heard. I’ve had it for a few days now and one of my boys keeps telling me “bro this is the best I ever heard a voice in a mic” 😂
Hey, do you know if there is an usb c receiver version for the headset instead? I use my m2 macbook for light gaming and discord, so i would love to use it without a dongle attached. Thanks for the video :)
@@JosephKim totally makes sense. So it’s possible to use it wired (charging) but the connection remains on the dongle! Another question is, why the heck is your mic quality so good? 😅 On other reviews/videos the mic quality is really disappointing when comparing it with the HS80 non max version. Did you change something to the tune?
@@VustagoCoelho not sure. I have not done any post processing. To be honest, it is not better than my normal studio mic (for obvious reasons) but I thought it sounded quite good. Maybe because I don't have to right up to my mouth?
@@VustagoCoelho When the headset first released the mic didn't sound great. They did a firmware update about a week later that fixed the mic quality. So a lot of the early reviews will have worse mic quality than it has now.
@@bfife22 I heard about it! But still, on other recent reviews the microphone sound a lot more “robotized” than his. I don’t really know how to explain… maybe I will stick with the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro (2023)
Hi, im planning to upgrade my headsdet with the hs80max. Did u experience any disconnection issues? Or any issues in particular? Many Thanks!
No issue so far at all!
Can you use an external wall charger for the HS80Max? or would that damage the battery compared to being plugged to a USB 2.0 Port on my laptop?
It should be fine charging with other wall chargers.

Thanks for reporting this. I am not sure what's going on 🤣
How is the mic quality compared to the brilliant Hs80 🎤?
I have not been able compare, but I heard its the same?

Is there a mic mute button on any of the cuffs?
You just swing the mic up and it mutes it!
Oh, and you can set the macro button (wheel click) to mute the mic

No, but I think you can use a single USB-A to USB-C dongle? (it will be a bit longer)
If your Mac book has Bluetooth you can just use the Bluetooth signal if you don't want to put the dongle in your MacBook.
Can I use it wired?
You can use it whilst charging, but the sound isn't traveling via USB cable.
Is this open back?
@@johnpaulpanton5403 thats what I'm trying to find out. Nobody is mentioning if it's opened or closed.
@@lakeshow1646 You just need to look at the headset. It's closed.
Is it possible to still use it (sound + microphone) while wired connected? Saw some people saying that this is only possible with the non max version
It is possible to use it whilst charging. But the data will not go through the wire. (I hope that makes sense)
