I have a SD9VE. I upgrade the Trigger. I also upgraded the Slide Bar and the Slide Take Down Lever to Stainless Steel. I love it. I don't need SD9 2.0.
Yeah, like I was saying in the video if I already had the original, I would have no use for this one. Thanks for watching and for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
My local gun dealer is selling them for $299.00. I have a duty Glock 19 with a light on it, but I keep that in my locker at work. I’m looking for a dedicated home defense gun. I have an extra headlight for it. I also have a 43x and a Model 27. but they don’t have rails. I’m not fussy about trigger pull, so I think this will work for me. I especially like the 17 round total capability. For a home defense gun, you’re just going to grab it and go, so the large capacity would be nice
For sure and I agree if it doesn’t have a light rail I’m not interested unless it’s a carry gun. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I have other expensive guns Glocks, Shadow Systems, M&P, Stacatto P. But I also like my SD9 2.0 budget gun. Im not a trigger snob but I appreciate anything that bangs everytime i pull the trigger.
That’s right I can agree with that as I said in both of the videos that we done on this pistol, it does exactly what it was intended to do. It is reliable, decently accurate, and goes bang when you pull the trigger, add a budget price. So for that they did what they needed to do. Thanks for watching and for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
It’s different that’s for sure. Just not something you experience in a lot of firearms. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel by commenting and subscribing
Thanks for your honest review. As you pointed out several times, it's a budget-friendly gun for folks who want a reliable pistol at a very affordable price. That's all it was ever intended to be so it's not surprising that it doesn't have a class-leading trigger. Look forward to seeing more of your reviews.
I had the sigma version and I spoke to someone with a law enforcement background, about changing the trigger to the Apex version. And he said if I did that and had to use it in a self defense situation the prosecutor would probably use that against me. So I got used to the trigger. That was the first striker fired pistol I ever had I had nothing to compare it to so it didn’t seem so bad to me.
I would like a better explanation of why that would get you in trouble if you had to use it but what do I know lol. As I mentioned in the table top and at the range and even on one of the shorts, it goes bang and it gets the job done and most importantly it’s accurate enough and very reliable so if it’s all you can get then it will serve its purpose for sure. Thanks for watching and for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
This is true what henrigreene is saying they'll get that and ty to flip it like your some kind of murder. Prosecutors are there to try and flip shit on you. This goes with any lazers tactical lights etc but when it's just plain that's less they'll have to use against you which is the better.
That’s just crazy IMO. But what in the world isn’t today lol. It just blows my mind I guess because to most gun people it’s just a simple upgrade to better suit your liking.
I was hoping you'd show us the internals of the trigger. Did they change the mechanics of it? I heard somewhere it's more in the line of an M&P setup now.
Not a fan!! It works I guess but feels cheap and bulky and not very easy to shoot accurately. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I wrapped my grips on my smith Wesson 10 mm and my performance center 9 mm with talon black rubber grips . Definitely feels better against my skin in wasteband. I like smith Wesson but I do hate the sandpaper grips
Yeah, that has always kept me from really loving them and having to add Hoag or Talon grips only makes the grip beefier on an already beefy gun I just let it mess with me
I've had an SD9VE with an Apex trigger since it came out. Its okay but not my favorite pistol. Funny that S&W decided to just make that change with the 2.0
Our experience with the apx1 was horrible. Sights flying off, horrible trigger and wasn’t accurate but that could have been the sights lol. Thanks for watching and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
We got a Glock boy fan on here. I have this gun and it’s definitely a good gun. The trigger is not bad. Everyone that has bought a Glock, the first thing they do is change the trigger 😂😂😂😂😂😂.
I (Gene) own 92 guns. 3 of them are Glocks. Glock 21 (in the safe), Glock 36 (rotate winter carry) and a P80 never fired in the safe. I carry an Sig P938 in pocket during summer, CZ or Dan Wesson in winter. I mostly own CZ so if anything I’m a CZ fan boy. You are just another person who gets mad if someone tells the truth about a 300$ gun because you want to believe it’s as good as a $800 gun so why bother spending $800. I literally said it was a great, accurate and reliable budget friendly option if that all you could afford with a subpar trigger. Peace out ✌️
I have this gun as well i have a canik and glock to compare it to, the trigger is very good in my opinion you get used to it, the trigger break in somewhere in-between my other pistols, i have 450 rounds through it 50 of em being hollow points, not one jam or hiccup out the box, this is the gun i reach for lately
@Isaiahlp it functions and is reliable and accurate enough as I mentioned. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Who knows man it doesn’t seem it would take much to at least make them better. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I had a original sigma. 25 years ago. It was a true post. As for their revolvers. Since 2001 when the added the Hillary hole external lock they have become a no deal buy for me. After 25 years and they have moved to Tenn. It's time to loose the Hillary Clinton hole. They lost a large market share and have never gotten it back. With colt turning up the heat s w revolvers are crap compared to what they used to be.
Liar, liar, pants on fire!! You're manipulating that trigger to make it do that. You can't fool me, buddy. The 2.0 is an improvement otherwise it wouldn't be a 2.0, it would be a 1.3 or 1.4. Now quit screwing around and show us the real trigger already! Lol. Thanks for the video. (s)
Man I tell you what before we started doing UA-cam videos I can’t tell you the number of times that I would watch UA-cam videos on a gun I was looking to buy whether it was a budget, friendly gun or a more expensive 1911 or something it would seem, as though I literally never could find a bad review on anything I was looking at on UA-cam. I did not know any better. I just always thought that was awesome and I would go and buy whatever it was only to get it home in a lot of cases and find out it was nothing like the UA-cam reviews I watched. In a lot of cases, it was immediate buyers, remorse, and guns that I ended up selling and losing money. After having been doing the UA-cam thing now for about three years, it did not take very long to find out why it is that. It’s difficult to find a bad review on a gun on UA-cam. It’s because people will lose their freaking mind if you say something bad about a gun and they don’t agree with it and we’ve never been able to get to the bottom of why that is, and then of course you have those UA-camrs who are getting free guns and probably are only giving good reviews because they want to keep getting free guns which makes watching UA-cam reviews a worthless waste of time. That’s the reason we decided to start doing it because if you look back at some of our other videos, we have straight up taken a 12 gauge shotgun to free stuff people have sent us that was crap. We don’t care if they ever send us anything else because we are going to tell the truth no matter what, and just because our experience may be different from someone else, it does not discredit our experience. I know that you were mostly just joking around but dude you do not understand, some of the stuff we get called just for simply giving our experience lol

Hey the gun is really a decent gun. I shot it and had no problems or malfunctions. Good budget gun. For the money you can’t go wrong
@gmank28ify I can agree with that analysis!
Why can't SW just make a great trigger in a budget gun? SD and the Sigmas notoriously have heavy crunchy gritty triggers.
