I run piercing bite build. I love the raw damage it does while ignoring armor. It even takes a quarter of a dasps hp. If i hit a dasp first, then reg bite, thats a solid 240 damage on the first 2 attacks. Run away and keep using tail attack on it, then piercing bite and reg bite again. 2 heavy bites does 180 damage but heavy bite doesn't ignore armor and weight so you actually would do about 81 damage to another dasp cause all dinos have a base armor stat.
@Liksterr97 lol, I'm not saying that I have never been attacked or died trying to defend myself. I just don't go looking for or start fights and prefer to avoid them if/when possible. I know my limitations with PvP, so I choose dinos that fit my playstyle. Mix pack groups and map also make a big difference in whether you can escape or not.
@@Liksterr97It’s quite possible to play without looking for a fight. I’ve played the game since year 1 and have lots of adult Dino’s and trophy’s. but I never go looking for a fight, I am always the retaliator. I’m also a solo player so it makes the game a lot more challenging. You can still have fun growing and helping other Dino’s grow and the occasional fight here and there.
The tail attack being able to cancel out so much just shows that the devs didn’t put much thought into it like how did it even make it trough testing hopefully it gets fixed soon

I have a lot of experience on Dasp, so I want to share my tips. 1. fight against Pukno. All you need to do is dodge his strongest attack and charge with your tail. When he misses or gets hit by a strong attack he won't be able to run and attack, at that point do as much damage as possible, preferably to the head or body. If you play with heavey bite, you can trade damage with Pukno, you have more health and weight and better regeneration, so 2-3 hits are enough to scar Pukno. If you have 2 or more Pukno playing against you, you need to take a good position first to prevent them from spinning you up and giving you free hits. Suitable terrain is a circle of rocks or trees, rift walls BUT never stand in a place where you can be thrown or dropped into the water. 2. Fight against Allo. Allo spins much worse than you, especially under a fracture. The best option is to get in the back and if Allo twists you, then run away and try to get in the back again. Also, don't forget to bait Allo with a tail attack to make it harder for him to defeat you. If you feel you are losing, run away or try to heal and finish him off. Allo is worse in almost every aspect, so it's not hard for an experienced Dasp to kill him. 3. Fight against small dinos (Kentro, Cera, Pahi and others). The best option is to tank face, also don't forget that Dasp runs faster than almost all small dinos and when they run out of health, chase them as long as possible. Dasp also has a lot of stamina, which is not the case with Cera, Metri and others, so in the beginning - you defend, then - attack. If there are several small dinos against you, you always defend. Just like with Pukno, you look for a good spot to make it harder for enemies to get to you. 4. Fight against Zuho. If Zuho is playing against you, with stacking claws, then the first 3 hits you exchange with him, then run away and wait for about 10 seconds (or how long his stack lasts, I do not remember) and come back, so you do until you kill him. Since Zuho can't catch up to you, kill him with your strongest bite, it can be either a piercing bite or a heavey bite. Don't try to out-tank him! He bites much faster and will most likely kill you faster. Beware of Zuho when it rains, they do 20% more damage when you are wet, which is very dangerous. 5. Fighting against apexes. This is where it's actually very simple. But attacking them solo is not worth it, a rex is enough 2-3 bites to make you feel very bad. So your first step is to determine the level of play of the opponent - if it is a beginner you can safely punch him in the back. If it is an experienced player, it is better to retreat, you have little chance. 6. Just a tip for better survivability. First, always keep your stamina level at 50% or higher. Second learn the timings of your bites to cast them from afar, not in close proximity and do more damage, you can learn this on the AI in solo mode or even better in king of the mountain mode. Third, always before the fight make sure with how many enemies you will have to deal with, especially on official servers, look carefully around and listen to the sounds, watch the actions of your opponent, if a fully healthy dino runs away from you in a certain direction and does not react to bites, then perhaps he is running to his friends. There may be mistakes in the text, as I translated through a translator, have a good game on Dasp!
great vid and is helpful for a new player. I don't ever seem to get to fight anyone 1 on 1, but a few times I have they never attack head on so its hard to use precise movements. Hopefully I will learn!
I play with piercing bite, thin scutes as my all rounder. Thin scute cuz when fighting with bigger enemies i avoid getting hit most of the time. Smaller dinos are more annoying. Piercing bite cuz its very effective against all heavier enemies plus the knockback on tail attack is really good when needing to gain distance to cd. Normal bite for any lighter. Itll do the job just fine. And if 1v1. U will expect the enemies to face u all the time so u need that high dmg with piercing when trading.
The dasp rival Alberta headbutt does 45 damage, but his headslam does 75 damage and if you have Enrage with headslam, it does 90 damage and the damage build Idk how much that is
Good analysis, Alberta also has a back kick that does high damage. If Alberta can rotate all its moves set and hit the dasp with it, the dasp will lose.
I never played dasp even during the era where it was really op other than on dm servers but now I’m definitely gonna play it my dasp is gonna be really happy to get out of his hc and almost a whole year but I’m gonna have to farm for a lot of marks
@ yea I like it a lot so far but can’t play atm and as a question how does the dasp low health damage call work ? Is it the lower you are the more damage or does it depends on how low were when you activated the call ?
In your opinion what is the best apex dino currently? I play duck rn but I only play solo and I feel like I can't fight outnumbers very well, so I'd like to play another apex that can defend against multiple people easier.
You sir are sleeping on skydiver, it’s hilarious when people try to use ledges to escape from you and you simply just dive right after them without repercussions 🤣
Ugh.. I hate the dasp tlc looks great.. I don't like the tail attack changes, and bonebreak doesn't last nearly long enough at all and fracture builds up too fast on top of that no changes to Rex? Wtf... I hope they give him a speed boost and insanely long instant bone break or else he's ruined as an ambush predator and as a dps tank he's just an ez win for all dinos.. too slow and predictable Dasp didn't need a tlc Rex does and they should balance the game around the apex "TITAN" not balance the game around little rat raptors and unpopular herbivores Spino got nerfed into the ground and I'm still waiting on them to revert the charge bite and tail damage 5 dmg is laughably low Just give yourself a knockback res build and you can tail ride everything in the game now but now tails have no dps so that's probably gonna be the new meta

so alderon should stop discord calls while playing or smth? they cant stop mix or mega pack because people will always find ways to group

I would, but it depends on what I'm going against. 😊

Do you take neutral damage from enemies with the same combat weight no matter the hide? Like other dasp, alberta, lamb, pycno?

Ig people don't like accuracy..
Piercing bite better or heavy bite?
As he said Piercing for apex and bigger than you, heavy for same size and smaller and shatter for hit and run dinos
