hi seri :) , heres some tips for hunting an elk herd , pay some attention to the ones that have their head hanging back , theres a chance that theyre weak , and keep running with the herd to try and find one that will stop to fight u , 100% chance that its extremely weak. the ones that arent that weak arent that worthy to go for , and when u see a herd look at the ones that r laying down , 98% chance theyre weak:)

I love how wolfquest is back! I absolutely love wolves and Yellowstone! When we traveled to Yellowstone in October we were fortunate to see some wolves after long days of searching! We got to see the junction butte pack! I counted up to 17 different wolves! They bedded down up on a hill 300 or so meters away. We waited hours for them to come out since we first spotted them during the day. They eventually started to come out to the juvenile bison kill they had later in the day. Just like in the game coyotes and bald eagles were all over the kill trying to get a snack! It was awesome to see the wolves drive them off and chase them away like you would in the game. It was such a magical experience and I was so happy I brought my spotting scope! Thank you seri for making awesome videos that make my day so much better! I love your storytelling abilities and your great knowledge! You have inspired me to love the nature and animals around me :)
And about your question, really all of the males go into small bachelor groups after the rut(which is when they mate with females) But during calving season the mother elk becomes super dangerous because she is super protective of her baby. She may seem harmless, but she is indeed dangerous that I would suppose that's the reason why she moves away from the elk herd because she might feel threatened by them even though there her herd. It's just an idea though. Google really didn't tell me exactly if bull elks did hurt baby elk.
I did some research on elks. I couldn’t find much on bull elks interacting with calves but it doesn’t seem like they kill calves. The only thing I could find is that male yearlings are most of the time driven off by cows or the older bulls. I didn’t find anything about violent tendencies towards calves. Which is interesting considering they have a somewhat similar herd structure to horses. They are similar in that an older female leads the herd and calls the shots. Stallions are known to be violent to foals that are not their own. In this way, it seems they are different.
Yessss wolf quest returnsss I have wolf quest 3 and it’s so fun I have a wolf called rouge and his mate Skye and their 6 pups that are almost 15 pounds and it’s so fun to watch them all grow oh also seri the major leg injury is effects your wolf so much your wolf limps and you can’t run for a long time because you lack stamina and they take such a long time to heal it took an hour for rouges to heal so try to not get your wolves hurt to much and for your question if bull elk will hurt calves yess they will if they get in the way or if the bull thinks that the calf is weak

So if they get into a fight, they can’t flee from it and if they do they re not allowed to use scent view for how many days (in game) the dice of destiny says. I just thought it would be a good challenge!

I also just started and abandoned pup single player game and one of the pups names it Cliff and they also kind of look like Cliff so this could be his story as a pup. He was found by to female dispersals, abandoned in his den with his sibling, Cinnamon (Sand den by McBride lake). He was brought over to first meadow and the story of Cliff as a pup will continue from there.

not really for a challenge but a fun activity you could hunt with the pups? i know towerfall(i think that’s what it’s called) isn’t out yet but you could bring your pups to where some elk or prey is and let them watch you hunt (when they go in the grass)
That's really dangerous though, elk can actually stomp and kill your pups or injure them, also a coyote or another predator could tale the pups away while your hunting, the pups will wander around and go to different places, plus hunting elk is dangerous too since the elk will run far way from your den
When you see a elk laying on the ground trying to get up it just fell if the elk falles it becomes very weak I did it before and I kept hunting elk all day we had 5 carvers of elk carcass by in multiple player

This was an amazing vid and by the way judging the way female elk go off away from the herd and go on their own and Protect their young that means the males are aggressive I think well that's for the herd males. But rouge males would be aggressive because they might not like a elk calf that's from a different male or they want the female and don,t want a males elk calf.

Bull Elk are probably aggressive towards wolf pups, they probably are able to see that harming a pup will get the adult wolves to run away. I have lost a pup to a bull moose before and almost lost another one to it to. I've had pups be injured by Bison, so be careful when approaching large prey animals
Ah very nice, I am excited to also play Wolf Quest: Anniversary Edition on my new Gaming Laptop next month. It's gonna be amazing! I know in real life it's not possible but I am gonna create my own self as a wolf and my girlfriend aswell and then im gonna have pups with her even though in my mind we would both be female xD Maybe once she gets it I am also doing Multiplayer to make it more fitting. Overall excited to have myself as an Pack Elder back into the game line! Have started to play the older version again to get a little heads up and also watched lots of Videos to pre-inform myself haha

Stallions kill those who aren't theirs and they also kill weak ones that slow down the herd as far as I know, so they basically keep track of them
