Before the Coronavirus hit I had a six month vacation all planned for Korea, which included visiting all of the members of BTS hometowns and Itaewon was on the schedule. Now I'm just waiting to see if I will ever be able to visit any where.🤣😭😢
Probably not. Before COVID hit, most restaurants were struggling due to high lease brought upon by gentrification of the neighborhood. There is less money coming from the American's associated with the base near by. its pretty dire overall

Just like they all say it really has been tough for a lot of people my sister just relocated her dance studio at the beginning of this year and work has been really slow. Not many students are able to attend because they're parents wants to keep them safe and we had to even reschedule our end of the year recital 2 times. I really wish everyone the best. No matter how hard this may seem dont loose hope and keep fighting for your dreams.

But it was the bars and clubs that continually broke the government's preventive measures and public commitments over and over during the severe social distancing period which soon led to a huge spread of the virus at the first place. Then, what did the owners of the clubs really do for the epidemiological investigations and for the customers infected from their clubs? I am very sorry that none of those interviewees feels any responsible for their mischievous behaviors. Maybe this is one of the reasons why loyal customers wouldn't be willing to come back there again.

They could be Korean American who are operating their businesses there or they have studied in the USA for some time and acquired their accent. The accent sounds natural so it doesn't seem like fake accent.

I love Itaewon class. Itaewon is an international district, where almost all foreigners in Korea either live or visit. It is a cool place but now I am sure they are struggling bcz of pandemic. However I must say Korea is at least doing better than most other countries bcz they've never shut down or locked down even in the peak of pandemic. There are so many other countries that shut down or locked down for a few months. Korea has never locked down or shut down not even once. So all the businesses have always been open in Korea. it is just that people go out less bcz of pandemic so this obviously affects restaurants, bars and cafes..
When Covid-19 pandemic subsides, I can't wait to visit Korea in the future, and Itaewon area specifically. The show was pretty solid (Though the ending was iffy).
In the late 90’s & early 2000’s it was known for its electronics sales. I remember all of my fellow veterans going there to buy Blu-ray players & video games. They had all kinds of any electronics you could want for $20.
I miss getting absolutely smashed in nightclubs there and making my way to the Hamilton hotel for no other reason than it being the only familiar landmark for me to go off of when I'm lost lol

I'll be back and drink and dance u til 7 am to then take the subway for 8800 bus back to suwon at 8 am and attend to class at 3 pm same day 🤩
