In this weeks video we look at the stamps I bought recently at auction and discuss the pro's and con's of buying online.
Thanks so much -really interesting !! I love your collection of stamps and all the information you provide!!!
Interesting to see the process of working through a purchased collection of mixed stamps, and what one can expect when buying and the risks one take. Thanks for an informative video!
Thanks for your comments, they're much appreciated
More like this pls😊!!
Thanx for an informative video. I have been thinking buying from Catawiki my self, but read a lot of negatives online a couple of years ago, regarding Catawiki and the dealers failure to send the bought stuff, as well as Catawiki keeping the dealers money, for too long. So I haven't bought anything sofar. I think however that their website and their app are very beautiful and good organized. And the collections they sell looks as if they are top-notch and and to a fair auction price. So looking forward to your continued experience with Catawiki. Regards from 🇩🇰, Claus
Thanks for your comments and good luck with your buying. I have sold on Catawiki too and they do keep hold of the money until the buyer has received the goods but overall it was a good experience.
Bad luck on the Canada and a few but possibly a few good ones when doing further wtrmrks and perfs.
Thanks for your comments. The Hong Kong stamp looks promising 🤞and there's still plenty of others to keep me going
Like you said it depends on what pictures and descriptions the sellers post. occasionally you find one that others miss.
The Tasmania stamp is fiscally used, rather than postal usage.
yes I did notice that, shame. Thanks for your comments.
Hii. They probably ran out of low value stamps and they had lots of six penny ones.
Hi, Steve. When you say a stamp, 'is worth' x amount, do you mean that's its catalogue value OR what a seller could get for it?Thanks, Ray.
Thanks for the comments, Usually when I say worth I mean what people will pay for it. Otherwise I will describe it as a catalogue value.
That NB #1 looks fake as heck...
Thanks for the tip. What clues can I look for to confirm this?
Yes I've had a chance to research this stamp and I would agree with you it does look fake.......ah well......if it looks too good to be true it probably is!
