I would also say that Christian nationalism is not Christian evangelicalism. There are a lot of evangelical Christians who may or may not be involved in government, but they don't push for a Christian agenda. I wonder if a form of Christian nationalism gave us alcohol prohibition in the 1920s. There was a very strong Christian revival at the beginning of the 20th century and also a very strong temperance movement that led to these prohibitions. I'm not a political or religious analyst so I'm only guessing here, but I'd be interested to know if that is true.
