I cut the slope to grade in one pass I didn't cut more off because its counter productive to undercut shit and have to rebuild it. Experienced operators don't do shit twice they cut it right the first time.
I used to push snow in a grader, graded roads ect. in Canada but never could cut to stakes. Now I fly a Helicopter deep in the amazon jungle and I can tell you that what you are doing is a lot harder than flying a Helicopter...nice work.
Not from on top , from the level you are working on . If it is near vertical you are able to position your machine close in to the toe of the wall anyway . At 4.28 you can see how inacurate the method is because of the big bulge inward on the batter just behind the machine. Also excess material is falling under your right rear wheels causing another problem for the machine to react to. Done lots of this type of work myself. One batter I did was 2200 mt long 40 mt high on a horizontal curve.
we were grading a rip rap channel on the slope about a week after this vid was taken we put 3 feet of 12"-24" rip rap on the slopes with the top of rip rap matching the grade of the road
That's cool. Interesting to see a grader configure itself like that - but to me, the rear wheels don't seem to be going in a straight direction...were they?
I am curious about why the acrobatics. I can see the purpose but in this case the inside corner wasn't so sharp that the blade wouldn't have reached with all wheels on the same level without articulation. Saved the equipment from the prolonged stress and frame twist. Whatever happened to drive it as if you bought it? Awful lot of videos of folks bragging about machines then they abuse the shit out of em and complain when they break down. ROPS are supposed to work also, Yet rolling it on the roof isn't part of the pre day circle check.
Huh? That made absolutely no sense at all. How are you supposed to cut that nearly vertical slope from on top of the road I've never seen a grader that would allow the moldboard to be swung where it would need to go to achieve what you are saying and I've run almost every brand out there. Also I'm not sure if you can see the gps masts or not but they tend to limit the range of movement on the moldboard.
you can't get the blade up that steep with the ass end on top and the back end would be running on about a 1:1 also I generally like to keep all 4 of my back tires on the ground as much as possible no sense in layin over a perfectly good grader...
With the age of GPS, it has really solidified graders as supreme snow plows. Do you know how much snow you can plow with a 6 wheel drive 772D? Another grader video of it doing work that would never ever be required in the real world. Send it up here to us in Canada we'll make it work pushing snow!
slope grading dumb ass! "required in the real world" I live in canada and use the grader every day for multiple different tasks, I take it all your capable of doing is plowing snow
The job could be done more efficient keeping all wheels on the flat, articulate to the right . This is just an example of an inexperienced operator. Blade should have more angle forward at the top , all you are doing is pushing the material off the batter , not cutting it.
That was suppose to be difficult?? Must be rookies, cause that is a piece of cake.... I will shoot some vids of what I am up against in the summers... Should be jaw dropping compared to this. Lol. Nice work though..
Never said it was difficult, just showing a guy how to do it he's still pretty new to graders. Let's see them I always enjoy a good grader video!

This seperates the men from the boys... Nice work!!!!

Man...pure skills, hats off to that operator!
Nice to see equipment used to its potential.
Friggen water truck driver must be Ricky Bobby! Doing laps and just sawing through the gears!
Man I was thinking the same thing about the water truck guy ..Hahaha
Hy guys I'm looking for a job as Grader operator final level.
Time to drug test the water truck driver again.
A Grader was the one piece of equipment I never got the chance to master. Hat's off to grader operators,it's harder than it looks.
That's awesome I'm starting heavy equipment school soon maybe one day i work a machine like that
haha you caught that... I love that truck it's a 1994 Ford L9000 with a Cummins M11 with a 5in. straight pipe damn thing will go just about anywhere
Work for the Highway Department so learning how to operate a 670 G road grader.

I once worked for a company that thought I was doing it wrong when I graded a berm this way
I think I just learned something! That was pretty impressive.
이런 작업은 처음보네요 ~!
진정한 고수 ~!
we were grading a rip rap channel on the slope about a week after this vid was taken we put 3 feet of 12"-24" rip rap on the slopes with the top of rip rap matching the grade of the road
Never knew these machines could do that.
skill, luck, patience is all I have to say. Great job, what was the project?
Do the front tires pull? I've never seen one doesn't mean they don't make em. That looks like how r tires staying up there. He's damn good operator
Awesome! I had no idea these machines were as HUGE as they are! :)
done that few times, did one similar when i was 17 with our 672c sketched the hell out of me haha
I wish dozers had blade tilt like that. thumbs up on the video.
That's cool. Interesting to see a grader configure itself like that - but to me, the rear wheels don't seem to be going in a straight direction...were they?
I was watching the monitor for grade but I wasn't about to let the machine have control of that moldboard.
no they aren't with the machine sitting on the slope and the loose dirt falling under the tires the back end is trying to slide down the slope
Pretty cool to see a reservoir before it's filled. Where was this filmed?
water truck sounds gooooooood
good way to spill your beer. ps how much does the camera man make?
grading like a boss!! that's awesome.
Well good stuff I love teaching rooks things. Pretty fulfilling when you see them accomplishing things.. They couldn't before.
I know this may sound silly, but what is to stop the rain from washing such an extreme edge away?
Nice vid boys gotta love playin yoga in a blade!! and it's doin the work!! lol not us!!
Beautiful work
Could you explain how thats even possible?
Thanks for the reply. I guess that rap-rap should hold it!
Man, what a work! Nice job!
Looks like your about to do some fly fishing with that GPS!! Good work thoe.

Showin off.. A dozer right there

idk.... I guess if it must be done that way. seems like a slow way to go about it tho. I have been wrong before tho
Many thank's for the upload, thank you very much.
Are you using rtk automated system?
So what is being built there?
big04cummins u did a good job on the grad but do u guys own any cat motor graders?
What is arm on blade ? An cable goin to
great video guys that was awesome
Would you try this with a non awd machine ?
Why not?
I have a 14 m on site and the operator won’t even get on a slope or topsoil says he will get stuck
Send him packing
you can't get the blade up that steep with the ass end on top and the back end would be running on about a 1:1 also I generally like to keep all 4 of my back tires on the ground as much as possible no sense in layin over a perfectly good grader...
good operator
Do it without gps and put it on grade
That would have been a lot easier to do with slope boards on that dozer.
a grader can do those jobs always better than a dozer, because the grader blade is more moveable than a slope board :)
Where are this country work
Been building them since 1967

Very Cool
I like it cool
Not the way to do this, the front wheel has no reason to be up on top like that,
Thanks. It was a drinking water reservoir.
Tasty drivin der good job driver....top class
nice cut
3 feet of rip rap...
Could I like this twice? :D
Nice
Em primeiro lugar...tem nessecidade fazer isso. Sei não....cada coisa que se vê...🤔
nice work, must be union job people standing around filming lol..
haha no union...
No the union guy knows how to spell grader. This guy did a good job
Tqvm
¿EXTREME???????
o kra e fera prb
Seemed like an unnecessary maneuver, but I guess it worked none-the-less.
why not just use the dozer sitting in the background. would of been much easier and faster
So nice i can do this
Not much of a slope that's straight up and down.
Actually it's a 0.5:1

Supar
Hello one of the best operator 661208-6898 John-e
Should have been a Volvo
what a waste of time. next time it rains its going to wash the shit out of that edge
Not even necessary.
That was suppose to be difficult?? Must be rookies, cause that is a piece of cake.... I will shoot some vids of what I am up against in the summers... Should be jaw dropping compared to this. Lol. Nice work though..
@grader93 sloper grader
Is this even necessary?
nice
