- 4th Baithak of Rasasiddhi . The evening of 2nd October, was filled with magic, serenity and all things beautiful, and those present for the baithak bore witness to the mesmerising performances by our amazingly talented artists.
The Rasa Siddhi family would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who made it possible for us to organise the baithak and make it this huge a success.
We are immensely grateful to all the artists, starting with Ms Sowmya Gurucharan on Carnatic vocal, Shri Manohar Balatchandirane on Mridangam and Raghavendra Prasanth on the violin, together they enraptured the audience with their soulful rendition.
We will forever be indebted to those of you who took time out of your schedules to come support of us and be a part of this classical baithak experience we curated for you.
Lastly, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our partner The Pink Lotus Academia ( @thepinklotusacademia ) without your support none of this would have been possible. We believe this association will only grow over the years.

ABOUT RASASIDDHI
Swaradhyay organized by "Rasa Siddhi", a promotion of Indian Classical music organisation dedicated towards honouring eminent musicians late Pt. Nikhil Bannerji and late Shri Prashant Thakur.
“Rasa Siddhi” is a collective of Sitar artists led by Shri Soumitra Thakur, which aims to reintroduce the historic culture of Baithak singing back to the larger public’s eye.
Music is celebrated and revered for not only being entertaining but highly meditative. That art connects people irrespective of societal divides and backgrounds is a well-known fact. Swaradhyay espouses this celebration of art in a baithak presentation, where both the artist and the audiences, participate in an intimate emotional exchange and interact on a common platform. Such a tradition, away from the current culture of stage performances in auditoriums, adds a personal touch to the participants’ experiences and is exactly what Swaradhyay endeavours to bring to life.

This one is a very different concert than what we usually come across. Wonderful to hear.
I have heard her previous concert jugalabandi . Again a good concert. All three artists have done their best.
This is the 2nd Concert by Sowmya that I am having the fortune to listen to. Must say she is not a flash in the pan. Moulded properly with balance and seriousness she can rise to great heights in the Carnatic world. Real pleasure to listen to her. Thanks to Pink Lotus and the co-artistes.🎉

What a wonderful concert! All three artistes were at their best. Ms Soumya looked very genuine, was right there giving an amazing performance. Dikishitar's seshachala nayaka in varali was the main piece very enjoyable. Quite aptly for the navarathri ended the concert with the bhavani dayani in a souful rendering followed by Thyagaraja's mangalam for the well-being of everyone in the world. With the tree in the background, at times she looked like siddhartha goutama meditating in gyana mudra :) Wishing the artistes a healthy happy life with blessings of the Devi 🙏

The concert by Smt. Sowmya Gurucharan accompanied by Shri.Raghavendra Prasadh on
Violin and by Shri. Balatchandirane on Mridhangam was a unique one styled by the Vocalist
herself with her powerful voice and diction also, and was very nicely compiled by her and
her Coartists on the dais = apparently from New Delhi. We must all wish the team a good
future and success for their enterprising contributions to Carnatic Music. I wish them all
success. When i chanced to hear her music last time two years back i had learnt that she
was initially guided into Carnatic music by her Grand Mother, whose efforts have been
well developed by the incumbent under review here. It must have been made from very
concerted and dedicated efforts by both the mentor and the learner.

This is in continuation of my earlier comment of the 5th October, 2022. Her
presentation was a combination of that was the best of Shri. Madurai Mani Iyer,
Madurai Shri. Soma Sundaram and Shri. Maharajapuram Santhanam - all rolled
into one and the accompanying Artists were equally aplomb and good at their
exhibition of their skills too. Each one of them were superb to say the least.
