there were wantaway players at ours when Farke first joined and it became clear the workrate he expected in training & games, so I'd question the motivation & desire to put effort in from your own wantaway stars. New stars will always arise, you'll just need to give him time to piece it all together, probably the whole season in all likelihood, but then his second season should bear fruit. We're seeing it again with Wagner, settling in with that first half season, a few wantaways this summer and early signs of a better first full season so far.

Dont get me wrong. As a New England Patriots fan, I love Brady, and what he did for the Pats. 6 Superbowls is pretty sweet ! However, this is the EFL and a new direction for Brady, and one that is not to be scoffed at. The EFL is a solid league and Brady will have to make the right moves and investments in order for Birmingham to get back into the EPL.
Brady isn't going to be the one investing primarily. He's a minority shareholder; it's Knightshead who will be responsible for major investment and decision making.

@@JamesDooney His role has already been established. His primary impact in terms of purely helping the team is in the nutrition and longevity aspect (sports science I guess). Given he was playing in the NFL until he was like 42? I think it will be great. He also has his own health and performance company ‘TB12’ which comes as part of his experience in that aspect.

@@ItsD3llo I don't think you realize how expensive it is to get an MLS team. The newest teams was valued at $500M. That's more valuable than Newcastle's entire valuation last January. Plus if you buy a lower level team there's always the chance to get promoted and increase the valuation of the club. You can't do that in the US because there isn't promotion and relegation.
