Go get it done! You will be so happy you did! Find a urogynocologist if you can. That’s who did mine. Some women use their gynecologist but the urogyno specializes in that type of surgery. ❤️

I had bladder leakage before I had my son. I get bladder spasms and I was in pain 😢 I even had a hysterectomy because of cancer and I even tired Botox in my bladder. that didn't work . My prayers are with you and your beautiful family. Let us rejoice for the Christ baby is born.. Happy holidays.
You are DEFINITELY helping some ladies out by talking about the surgery. Glad all is well and that you recovered quickly, despite the nausea. After my first surgery, I was paralyzed with pain, couldn't move on my own (literally) for 3 or 4 days, turns out I get something called "suxmyalgia", which is a rare side effect of one of the drugs they used at the time. All they had to do for my next surgery was mix in another drug and I was perfectly fine! I've had 28 surgeries since then (#30 is actually next week!) and I haven't had an issue since. As for nausea, I'm one of the lucky ones that rarely gets nausea after surgery (but I get it on any random day as a symptom of my autoimmune condition, go figure!) but nurses in my area all recommend Gravol/Dramamine if it's really bad, peppermint candy or tea if it's minor. Try both together for a double-whammy 😉

I need the same surgery, but my doctor told me I may have pressure even after the surgery so I was scared to have it done. I may revisit this now that I’ve heard how easy it is from you. Best thing I ever did for myself! One jump on a trampoline and I knew something had to be done! 😅 The next best thing was having an ablation and tubal! If you’re done having children I highly recommend! Glad you’re back and feeling better!!

Kelley- ask for a Scalpolene patch next time (if) you have to go under anesthesia. It goes behind your ear and majorly helps the nausea side effect. Life saver!
If anaesthesia makes you nauseous, you can ask them to give you medicine for that. It does the same exact thing for me. Now every time I have to go under they give me the medicine as well and I don't get nauseous anymore from it!

I recommend sea sickness wrist bands for nausea after an operation. I have had a kidney removed which bruised my bladder so I understand what you went through as I was so bad at times I couldn’t leave the bathroom. Thank you for speaking out. I had this same surgery at the same time I had my hysterectomy, I was so happy with the results. Life changing!
I had that surgery several years ago and it was the best thing ever. I have had no problems since. You can live a normal life again!!
