the scene in west la is whack af. all these kids coming out to this fancy rooftop just to be seen.. thinking theyre all trendy in their bougie attire n shit and constantly on their phones updating ig and snap stories. prydz is the opposite. no hype, no expressionism, no insecurity. music and only music
+lilcrits Hipstercalypse. Hipster holocaust. You name it. I wonder wtf crowd it was. Obviously few contracted, poor girls upfront. The rest ?! Bunch of hipsters in their twenties. A scandinavian on american diet obviously. Da fuk staged thing is it?
Pure greatness from Prydz, you are creating pure magic :).... Congratulations to the crowd as well, for being seen. Your life wish has hopefully been fulfilled.
This was filmed in West Hollywood and was a private "industry" event. L.A. is a music industry town. So this audience (which was invite only) is filled with music industry people, publicists, media people, friends of music industry people, friends of friends of friends of... you get the picture. There are NO superfans of Prydz in this clip. Also I live in L.A. and know where this was filmed. Tickets weren't for sale at all and it was a one-off BBC Radio 1 private event, so the regular public had ZERO chance to attend or know about it, same with Prydz's fanbase. All of which explains why mostly everyone there looks detached from what he's doing on the decks.
Jonathan Eldred Im 15 and even i can get frustated at gigs or shows when people always gotta film the experience to show people that they were there. Why dont they live it instead.
I can understand chilling and enjoying the music. To be apart of something like that wow. So many ppl dont understand what's happening. Eric and the guy in the grey shirt have a mutual understanding lol
Anyone featured in this video (except for Mr Pryda with an amazing set) should be embarrassed. That includes the sound engineer/Radio 1 and Pete Tong. WFT happened. Still cant stop listening to be fair because the tunes are banging.
Thank you for sharing this. Can you post the MK, Jesse Rose and Patrick Topping B2B Eats Everything, all sets from the same day, but they are country blocked in the BBC iPlayer
LOL this reminds me of a boiler room set where everyone just stands around and bops back and forth but these plugs managed to produce even less energy than at one of those sets.
Not one person in that LA crowd should be there.... keep house where it belongs...FFS....one of the best progressive house DJs in the world.... look at them....🙈
For nearly 10 minutes i was waiting for the beat/bass to drop. Then i read your comment and gave up. I was thinking it was going to be the greatest drop of all time after the longest build up. I thought wrong.
the gap between where the half-asleep crowd ends and where the DJ booth starts seems really awkward and empty. like wtf man it's like everyone's avoiding the best part of the dance floor or something good set though, prydz did a great job as always

Jonathan Eldred Im 15 and even i can get frustated at gigs or shows when people always gotta film the experience to show people that they were there. Why dont they live it instead.

The king. 👑 This is nothing compared to his other sets

For nearly 10 minutes i was waiting for the beat/bass to drop. Then i read your comment and gave up. I was thinking it was going to be the greatest drop of all time after the longest build up. I thought wrong.
Lmao same, I thought that he forgot to turn the bass freq filter knob on his mixtable. Or maybe he was trolling the whole time ?
TheDjTotzy haha, I would imagine whatever recorded the sound didn't record that specific frequency range as well as the rest of the sounds
He moves like Marcus.
Does adjusing those knobs really make a difference:)

WTF happened to the sound at 14:00????????????
