Khagrachari is one of the best tourist spots in Bangladesh. It is known as hilltop town. Khagrachari was never been a tourist destination before 1997. After the signing of Hill Tracts Peace Accord, Khagrachari became an attractive travel destination in Bangladesh.
There are some extra-ordinary tourist attractions in this district. Some of them has already been travelled by us and has been presented to you in our previous episodes. Today we will travel Khagrachari Town. Hope you will enjoy the diverse hill market, lush food and sightseeing.
The town of Khagrachari, located in the Chengi Valley, is surrounded by hills but its location is almost flat on the ground.
The kitchen markets of Khagrachari are rich in the diversity of the hill towns as like as the livelihoods of the indigenous tribal people. Due to its diversity, these markets are also a must see for tourists from far and wide.
The main features of these hill town markets are that everything what available here are farm fresh. The marginal farmers here bring their produce from the field directly to the market for sale. They do not use chemical fertilizers or chemicals at any stage of the production process, everything of here is as refreshing as it tastes.
There is a restaurant called 'System Restaura' at Pankhaya Para in Khagrachari Town for tasting mountain food. You can enjoy here the real taste of mountain food.
