- 10 year old Nathan Chen is an amazing individual. He's an accomplished pianist, ballet dancer, hockey player, chess competitor and also a national champion of ice skating. Its no wonder Diane Sawyer chose him as the person of the week. Oprah? Take notice!!!!
He finally fulfilled his dream of being an Olympic Champion.

Not only him but all of his 4 siblings are talented and one of his sister is another Forbes under 30 together with him. His mum should write a book! His mum is a very inspiring person herself. When she came to the USA she did not know English at all but later she became an interpreter in hospital. His dad is a doctor and they had 5 Children. All the children are well educated and talented. Being gifted is only one tiny part of the reason. This family is a typical Asian family in the USA.

Funny how Nathan was watching Evan Lysacek win the Olympic Gold Medal on tv., then more than a decade later, he too wins his own Olympic Gold Medal. Who knows? Maybe there was another kid watching Nathan win the gold and aspiring to become a champion too some day.

Usually, kids like this are the products of ther parents efforts and hard work. Without it talents are just there helping out the owner of them here or there but nothing that outstanding.
They actually raised up 5 kids with talents though the others are not world champion.
