- Polomolok is a 1st Class Agri-Industrial Municipality of South Cotabato, Philippines. Situated between General Santos City and Tupi, it has a population as of 2007 census of 131,436 people in 22,492 households. It is one of the Municipalities belongs to Metro Dadiangas. Polomolok is home to Dole Philippines, the biggest pineapple plantation in the world. Polomolok is also the fastest growing Municipality leading for applying it's Cityhood.
In 1957, I graduate at that Polomolok Central School!!! The principal was Victoriano A. Pasiliao! All's changed. Wished you featured Our Lady of Lourdes Church. It was one of the main public buildings there in those days.The market now was nothing but guava groves with scattered houses. In front of the school was a water pump every one (almost) in town fetched drinking water! Everything was pristine then, Mt. Matutum was so blue! Dew sparkled like diamonds in the morning! Hayyyy!

It's a little bit nostalgic to remember everything on this place. About the days spent with my friends . I wish their memories from my mind never fade.

I love Polomolok too, I was there last year Feb 2012, then came back Oct-Nov 2013 and now will be back again Feb 2014, going to the. upper part is Landan, a cooler place. lots of pineapple plantations everywhere
in 1966, after graduating from Western Institute of Technology with a degree of BSME (Mechanical Engineering) from ILOILO City, went to Polomoloc, South Cotabato as my Family lives in Barrio Bual, Tulunan, Cotabato. At that time E E Black was building & constructin the Dole Phil. Pineapple Cannery which is about to be finish ready for operation. I applied there for a job and was interviewed by the American employee of Dole Pineapple. I did not get a job for reasons that I have no work experience. The next thing I did was to go to Manila and continued my Job search. Within a month time in Manila. I was hired by The Pacific Engineering CO. Inc. as Estimator doing steel Fabrication Job in their Shop. I worked there for two years then moved to Honolulu Iron Works for a higher pay and benefits. After 8 years of working in Manila I immigrated to the United States of America worked for McDonnell Doughlas Aircraft Co. and several big Engineering & Construction Co. engaged in design and construction of Oil Refineries, chemical Plants and Electric Power Generating Plants. If I got hired in the Dole Pineapple Cannery I may not have been living hare in the USA.
i really miss my home town
when i watching this video my tears begun to fall, this place is very memorable to me during my childhood, i grew up there since i was 2 years old until my 3rd year in high school, my father was an employee the Dole Phil. Inc. Now I'm here in Saudi, remembering those happy moment with my parents, brother and sister when the relation of my parent are not yet broken, I reminiscing the past from this video.
