James Purefoy has made an important statement in this interview concerning the mental health of men .. the suicide rate of men is three times that of women because of how men are expected to act ..
As James so accurately states.. men are taught from childhood not to cry ., to man up ,, to button up their emotions .. that it is not manly to cry .,
But men are human too .. and it is right for them to cry .. tears have a special quality that releases dopamine ., the feel good hormone ., and helps us cope with grief ..
James Purefoy.. like the character Jim he plays in the film .. is a beautiful alpha male ., filled with courage and strength .. and he is beyond brilliant in this .. and important for every man to see how vital it is that men should feel relief when they cry ,, and not feel shame .. or be shamed ,, by doing so .. and as James Purefoy concludes.. if his character Jim can cry .. other guys who see this may understand that they can too ..
