- After our overloading adventure west to east across Colorado through the San Juan Mountains, Great Sand Dunes National Park, over Medano Pass, and down the east side of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in S1E6 and S1E7, we decided to return home by taking the 682 mi Colorado BDR (Back Country Discovery Route) from the Wyoming Border to Four Corners. This episode covers the start of the BDR on the Wyoming border all the way through day 3 where we camp 15mi north of Buena Vista, Colorado.

This place looks so pretty we would love to visit one day, thank you for sharing, we have subscribed to show our support 🙂 Chelsea and Mike
Thanks for your support Chelsea and Mike hope you make it out there someday!
I recently shot a video on my little channel jeepNdirt titled no camping overlanding where we caught fall foliage in full peak here on the east coast. My wife doesn't care to tent camp and I have a new little "condition" that kinda restricts me a bit, but we still enjoy the outdoors. Your footage reminds me of all the great areas there are to explore and for folks who can't necessarily camp most of those areas are not to far off the beaten path to stay in an hotel or air BnB. I was an adventure motor cycle rider for many years and was on the Colorado BDR on my R1200GS adventure before the pandemic and couldn't wait to get back out there on 4 wheels with my wife. Your footage is motivating for me to focus on getting out there in 2023. Thanks for the inspiration. I guess that's the beauty of the UA-cam, we all like and see things that others may not understand but hey, that's the beauty of creativity.
Thanks for sharing and for the kind words. It's very gratifying to know that we are providing inspiration just as we have been inspired by other channels. Yes that's what UA-cam is all about.
Beautiful area and great camera/drone work. My brother and I were on a family trip to Vail many years ago and took his wife's Jeep out across the mountain trails and ended up at Sadie's Silver Dollar Saloon in Leadville and had us quiet a time. Of course we were much younger then.
Glad you enjoy the cam/drone work Phil. Yep Leadville is full of great historical locations and the Silver Dollar is right up there. We didn't have time to stop in Leadville on this trip but look forward to it in the future - even to the Silver Dollar!
