In all of the losses they allowed some big deficits to occur whether it is the start or in second half. In 4 of them they fought back and easier lost by 15 or less including 3 games within 8 points. Simply put they don’t need to have that occur. It’s mostly the starts need to be better from the last two games.
I did hear on the radio yesterday that Nicki Collen said Aliyah Matharu at times still has miscommunication on stuff. I think it will be less down the line.
I think men’s basketball needs to get more depth in general but mostly in front court.
I still don’t think the women’s basketball has peaked yet. The good news is that the schedule as of right now has only 3 ranked teams left in WVU at home, Kansas state on the road (no Ayoka Lee right now the due to foot fracture), and TCU at home. Granted they don’t need to overlook Colorado on the road because Colorado beat K State in Boulder, Colorado. Of course the team in general doesn’t need to overlook any of the other games that are not ranked in general.
At times Aaronette Vonleh has not really stepped when she needs to in bigger games. Yeah I know she did against Utah, but she has struggled in the losses.
It doesn’t help that women’s basketball is 67.5% at the free throw line on the season.
I don’t know really what women’s basketball needs in terms of roster, but maybe a little more size is needed.
I don’t think it is crazy to say that VJ is similar to D Wade.
