The second comparison is a great example of the team you play on/city you are in making a huge impact on your perception. Ware played on 2 highly visible teams during his career that for the most part had consistent success, while Allen never had consistent team success and for the most part played for middle of the road teams in small markets. Their career stats and peak year stats are crazily similar. Ware got in to the HoF on the second ballot. Allen is about to be on his 4th.
Exactly!! I am a Vikings fan who always was so angry with this discrepancy in coverage. I watched both play all the time and could see they were equal players. But Ware got so much more press and love from the media and voters for everything. He didn't miss a single game his entire time in Minnesota and was a dominant pass rusher and edge defender. Should already be in Canton.
How can you say Jared Allen isn't even close to being as good as Demarcus Ware when they have almost the same stats? I get Ware had slightly more in slightly less games but saying they aren't close is crazy, Jared Allen is just super underrated
Exactly… guy was kinda pushed prematurely into the HOF. The HOF label does a lot to normies’ minds. Ware and Allen are statistically just about the same person.
That comment melted my mind. Jared allen put up identical stats on worse teams and had a longer career. "Not even close?" No you're just biased because you didn't hear about JA until he was a viking 😂😂😂
Jared Allen was drafted in 2004 so it makes sense that he played in more games. Not bad for someone who was drafted as a Long Snapper out of Idaho State. His greatest contribution was the result of the trade between KC and Minny that gave the Chiefs the pick they used on Jamaal Charles.
Why would specifying games started vs. games played even matter for that guy in choosing Hasselbeck vs. Fitzpatrick? I feel like the amount of times a QB plays in a game but doesn't start it is minimal
They were probably thinking like, Fitzpatrick started for a year or two at a time and then got benched for a half season, whereas Hasselbeck was a straight backup for six years and was hurt several other times. The answer is the same (a lot closer though) and the logic doesn't really check out but I see where it's coming from.
As a Vikings fan whose peak fandom was during the AP and Jared Allen era, I hated Ware even though I loved watching him. He got so much more attention and press than Allen despite being equal talents. Ware played for "America's Team" while Allen was up in Minnesota. Allen felt routinely snubbed for things like All Pro and Pro Bowl in comparison and that is why Ware is in the HOF and Allen isn't yet. Their stats are basically identical. Ware just played for higher profile teams with much better QBs on average. Vikings should've won it all in 2009 though if not for Bountygate - they were the best and most complete team in the NFL that year. That would've changed the narrative some I think.
How do you sign up to play this I'd love this. The td made me think of Jared Allen, in the final metrodome game, was a fingertip catch away from scoring the final touchdown in metrodome history, but alas
Jolly's confidence on that wrong madden cover is very rough. Not only did the highlight stick start in 07 so you should remember that if you played that madden. To give anyone else the chance to be 05 when we had Ray Lewis on the cover 🤨
Did not have Dalton as such as Hasselbeck hater/skeptic, lmao. His time with the Colts must've really done a number on him. Dude was a top-10 QB in the league for a good chunk of his career.
Ryan Fitzpatrick on a bad team was better than Hasselbeck on a bad team. Fitz was a better rusher and better thrower in every category except career yards and ints but on a per game basis Fitz was better. And if you look at the Jets years vs the Seahawk years Fitz was better Matt had better teams and coaches. For the love of god if you think Matt Hasselbeck was the better qb you are insane
penik pls just call it stathead to head

I was surprised to find out how many more games Allen played

Allen played his best years in KC and Minny, Ware in Dallas and Denver on some stacked teams. This is all about perception.
I thought he was being sarcastic since they just saw the head to head stats

@@CB-ke5xxculinary academy alumni get no pro level recognition 😞
I’m confused why they lost the point @3:23 they said Hasselback no?
just an error lol

He had a 22 sack season and was a key part of many great Vikings defenses that were held back by terrible QB play. He is an easy HOFer.
keep it up! this channel will pop off by the end of the season, i feel it!
As a Seahawk fan I am happy I only missed 1 on the Hasselbeck v Fitz. Cmp% did me in!!!
I like the concept of this video!! Keep em coming!

This is great can’t wait for pt2
Penik is the Max of "Choosing the complete most evil people for the quizzes" and I love it.

Like the beard Penik. Should keep growing it out

The Jared Allen slander in this is crazy

Looking good Penik

Head for head

good stuff

Jolly confidently saying Shaun Alexander was the 2005 madden cover athlete is why I started skipping videos with him in it...
The pleading to not do the math was great
18:48 Predicting 7 All Pros for Jared Allen when he was only a 5 time Pro Bowler is not a good look.
Jared Allen should be in the HOF
Who else was triggered when Jolly said Shawn Alexander was on the cover of 05 Madden?
Broncos country let’s ride
This channel does good content but I'm always blown away by the lack of football knowledge sometimes.
Team Jolton is the 🐐
Hi
Hi Andrew
I try not to remember Matt Hasselback as a colts tbh...

The Fitzpatrick slander in this video disgusts me.
Penik is a clown
Thank you
