Old version can also use an AA battery, though the output is quite low on both. There are three upgrades to this version: Red light mode, battery status and magnetic charging.
The updated versions of MH4 and MH5 are now identical, with only some visual differences.
Like the new magnetic recharge.....no need to remove battery .....weak link on this light are the plastic ears when removing it from the band....the tend to break.....
You are talking about MH3 ? It has 200lm compared to 400lm of MH4 + MH5
I have an MH4 - seems identical to this- although I prefer my old H8R....the P7R is also a favoRite.

Hey, I bought an MH5 and I can't actually get the torch to work... the red light works fine but the actual torch doesn't turn on at all. Any ideas?
I predict while you press your MH5 switch button and it's only light out the red lights? You may long press the button to switch between "red light" and "white light". Any further needs you may check with your local country Ledlenser service to get prompts reply. ^.^
Hi first time charging now, i see red and green light. is it the right way?
kindly check the battery position or end cap . it should be solid red while charging .

I try to charge the ledlenser mh5 and the red light do not stay bright, just intermitent red and green for 3 sec and then is closed.
Hi, from the symptoms it might be your battery is failure. As MH5 could be operate with normal AA alkaline battery, you may try with AA alkaline battery and if the lights could be turn on, which means you just need to replace your rechargeable battery should be able to solve your problem. Thanks

How is the burning time for normal AA battery in both low and strong mode?
Hi,i broke locking cap that screws on my headtorch Ledlenser mh5, so i was thinking of buying mh3 and puting that cap from mh3 to mh5.Are they the same,and will it fit? Ty

Hi, For the red light data info, I didn't have any related data sheet to prove the lumens,
However based on my observation, it's around 20 lumens for 15 meters.
