I have a tip for the embossing. I have the complete Ultimate with all the plates (envelobox, scoring, etc). Use wax paper over the cardstock when embossing. Tape the wax paper at the top of the board, use the stylus to run over the pattern and it leaves the impression on the wax paper. Then I put the card stock under the wax paper and it shows exactly were to use the stylus that's provided with the kit. It works perfectly and the wax paper helps the stylus glide over the card stock.

Thanks that would make things much easier,i just opened my kit after having it home for a couple years and had no clue what it was and been watching videos, i tested but it's hard to tell where to follow the lines your tip will make this a great way, many Thanks

Finally, a good video that shows how to use this item, I was very frustrated when I bought it last year and now you have made it look so easy and wha la, it is! Thank you so very much for sharing! The instructions that come with this are not the best to read, at least not for me.

Hi Lindsay, I watched a lot of the CC videos on this when I got mine. To emboss, you just line up the envelope as you did and use the score tool to feel for the pattern. Once started, you can usually follow it fairly easily. Can help to rub an unused dryer sheet over first to help increase slideability. I think this should give a better result. Glenda

Helpful video to confirm how to do the box, I only guessed it when I read the manual. But you do have the guides for the envelope to score the butterfly on the cover, right there.

Lindsay this is why I love you, I purchased this from HSN after seeing it demonstrated but when I got it I just wS lost and could not figure out measurement to make the envelope and you just simplified it for me. Thank you so much.

Haha, Hi Lindsay! I’m already a subscriber of yours but I came across this video by chance when looking for tutorial videos on how to use the crafters companion ultimate pro. I found one in a charity shop for £4 ($4.80) absolute bargain! Thanks for the guide on how the envelope part works. Best wishes from the UK.
I got my old envelope and tri-fold card maker out and started using it again, thank you for the nudge!
I wonder if you put a piece of scrap over your pretty paper before rubbing with the texturing tool, then enhance it, if it would keep from scraping up the pretty inside of the envelope.
I got mine from the Crafter's Companion website for $13. Thy have other scoring mats too and a gadget called the Ultimate Tool that they will all fit into but you can use it alone as I did too. You could score a box on this or a card I suppose but you might want something that you can square your cardstock on. I would see what they offer compared to what you want to score.
So I want to make an envelope tonight so go looking for instructions on this strange and old contraption I’ve got hidden in the back of my craft cupboard… and who has a tutorial but my fave e̶n̶a̶b̶l̶e̶r̶ frugal crafter! ❤

Seems to me i bought one, or something similar, from a program i saw on TV in about 2000! When i got it, i was so excited, but we did not have internet like we do now...not a clue how to use it. I think i cried! It was a lot of money for me then. I simply could not understand the instructions. It was overwhelming just to open the instructions! I have serious ADHD so busy-looking stuff, even overly fancy cards, actually make me feel panic and sick. I gave it to a charity store. The plastic and color looked like a cheap toy, too, but now i have ordered the ultimate pro and so pray it works like the videos on TV and online show. It and the instructions have not changed, but actually, whoever invented it was a genius! I wish i could find the history of it. I am not a genius and am grateful, so grateful for the internet, so i can try again. Younger folks have no idea what a blessing they have.
I actually have a tool for that type of embossing. I picked it up shortly before dry embossing seemed to have become unpopular. I just use it pretty much like you did with the texturing tool. I wish I could remember the name of it. Anyhow, it is like a regular stylus but the ball is almost a cm and I think it is almost like a ballpoint pen. Thanks for the how to. I love making my own envelopes. :)
I made some boxes like this last year without this tool and it was difficult to get the measurements right. This tool really can help make a tedious task easy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the video and I read the comments and picked up a few tips that I will put to use with my tools, the instructions that come with it are not very clear and I got a little frustrated but after seeing this I will go back and try again.

Wendy, I have a card that measures 5.5 by 8. The 8 is long and the 5.5 is down. Does that make sense? What size paper would I need and what are the letters on the envelopbox do I need? I am so confused, I want to like and use this, but am begining to just hate it!! LOL I need a 3\4 inch deep. If you could please help me, I would appreciate it, I am 73 and I am getting frustrated. TY so much!

Hello I have been trying to use this board but I can’t figure how to use the score lines to make the boxes on the back. Milk carton etc. how do u see the score lines? My tool keeps coming out.

In the DVD, Sara used soap and rubbed it on the paper to see where she would need to start embossing (because you can't see through the paper... hahaha) she said you can use wax, like from candles, I think.. or maybe some old crayons?
