- So I & my sister took it upon ourselves to try Ghanaian food for the first time!!
***So I've been told that we were actually trying Nigerian Food. If this is true we are confused as to why a GHANAIAN restaurant is offering NIGERIAN food in the first place***

Yes it is Ghanaian: some Ewe tribe eat Agushi stew/pounded yam and the Akan tribe eat it as Ampesie( yam 🍠 cubes or plantain cubes, cocoyam cubes even cassava cubes with the Akatoa/Agushi/Egusi stew or sometimes with Palava sauce (Akatoa/Agushi mix with green leaves)
Ghana 🇬🇭 food is soo good
Egusi and pounded is not Ghanaian
Nope. It is Ghanaian and eaten by the Ewe's in Ghana.
@@MrAFORCEONE nope it's not, I am ewe
@@courageagbeyebiawo4104 There are many Akans who have never eaten snails or had prekese soup in their lives but that does not mean it's not an Akan delicacy. It's a matter of choice really.
It's not a Ghanaians food pls am Ghanaian it's Nigerian
@@MrAFORCEONE egusi and pounded yam is not Ghanaian. We have 'agushi' stew. we call it agushi and ours is stew not soup
You are both really witty. I enjoyed watching this. Home cooked Nigerian and Ghanaian food is so much better. I hope you get to try more. x
Looks like you have naija food not Ghanaian 😭 only keleweles ghanaian but love this you guys are gorgeous ❤️
Shelby B. Wrong sis jollof is Ghanaian so is egusi soup trust me I know I’m Ghanaian
she right, most of the food there is nigerian, but we share jollof
I mean you can’t really see the difference bc Ghana and Nigeria is literally the same
@@isaacdarko3359 we basically eat similar foods just different names.
My Congolese babes, eerrr I hate fufu! You should do a vid on your tatts i see you've got a few. Keep the vids coming xx
omgg I was thinking to do one but wanted to wait till someone actually requested it lol I definitely will now xx
I’m dead she said if I had one 😂😂😭
Mélissa K in small doses loool
Sounds like you went to a Nigerian Restaurant, not a Ghanaian one... except for the kelewele, dunno what thats called in Nigeria lol. Fufu is a mixture of dried things. Pounded yam is just pounded yam, lol.
+Sarah Sachiko thanks for the comment! would you say that Nigerian & Ghanaian people generally eat the same things but call them different names? Genuinely trying to understand why all of this was sold in a Ghanaian restaurant lol
+Treceigh chale we n nigerians don't eat d same food pls dey eat garri a lot n a Ghanaian don't like garri DAT much
Bernard Appiah you can’t speak for every Ghanaian
Yes it is Ghanaian: some Ewe tribe eat Agushi stew/pounded yam and the Akan tribe eat it as Ampesie( yam 🍠 cubes or plantain cubes, cocoyam cubes even cassava cubes with the Akatoa/Agushi/Egusi stew or sometimes with Palava sauce (Akatoa/Agushi mix with green leaves)
Egusi is Nigerian food

A little bit more seasoning but half the rice is gone😂
Isn’t egusi basically what we have in Congo, mbika
Yeahh it is! I definitely prefer how they make it thoughhh. 😳
Treceigh Really? I’ve tried it from like 3 Nigerians and it tasted exactly how my mom makes it, but I guess it depends on who’s cooking it 🤷🏽♀️
Elikya This is Ghanaian made so it taste different from Nigerians
Kelewele is the only Ghanaian food on your table. The rest are Nigerian foods.
It’s Ghanaian, Kelewele isn’t the only one jollof and egusi soup etc I know I’m Ghanaian
Jevan Asare Egusi is nigerian
They are all Ghanaian foods but they have used the Nigerian names instead of Ghanaian. Egusi stew is Agushi or Palavar Sauce in Ghana. Akara is Koose in Ghana.West Africans all eat the same foods .They just call it different names depending on your tribe.
Would pin this comment if I could! Just incorrect names.
This is no way Ghanaian food, apart from the kelewele
Yes it is Ghanaian: some Ewe tribe eat it just like that and the Akan tribe eat it as Ampesie( yam 🍠 cubes or plantain cubes, cocoyam cubes even cassava cubes with the Akatoa/Agushi/Egusi stew or sometimes with Palava sauce (Akatoa/Agushi mix with green leaves)
lol she tried it . i knew when she asked if the jollof was dead it was nigerian 😭🤣
That was fun. I am going to your channel to see if you have done a Congolese Muckbang. If there isn't one, are you going to do one?

+DeB Orah that's a shame as it was bought from a Ghanaian restaurant so not sure what happened there lol thanks for watching anyways x
Treceigh I’m Ghanaian. I know although Egusi Soup comes from Nigeria, I read that Egusi seeds were made in some parts of West Africa and we do eat some similar foods just different names. In Ghana, it is pronounced differently “ “Agusi”soup. I hope this helps.
Good video though!
Francesca Agyeman thanks for clearing it up 💖
Treceigh sorry my mistake. In Ghana, Egusi is also called pronounced as “Agushi” not Agusi . Hope this clears up. I’d love 💗 to know some Congolese dishes now.
Francesca Agyeman egusi is oumpkin seeds right or am I wrong
Are y'all Congolese women that was raised in the UK because y'all accent lol.

I don’t think that’s Ghanaian food because we don’t have Egusi in Ghana 🇬🇭
Emma Kayyy Yes it is Ghanaian: some Ewe tribe eat Agushi stew/pounded yam and the Akan tribe eat it as Ampesie( yam 🍠, plantain, cocoyam and cassava cubes with the Akatoa/Agushi/Egusi stew with Palava sauce (Akatoa/Agushi mix with green leaves)

You’re not Ghanaian then lmao we just call it differently
But everything u ate was Nigerian food except the kelewele....
Alpha Male I'm just confused tbh lol it's seems that both Ghanaian & Nigerian people eat the foods we tried but they each have a different name for them. Not entirely show though, it was nice trying it anyways. :)
lol nah it's true, the food you ate is originally Nigerian food, however the Ghanians have their own twist to the naija dishes. Anyways nice to see you trying our food.Good content & Subbed!
