The footage was superb, but a lack of commentary together with the dreadful music took the edge off it for me. The Trike journey looked fantastic but, we had no idea of your route, or where you were along it at any given time. Ponderosa Cafe looked very vibrant and a quick squint at the menu showed their prices to be vewry reasonable indeed. Lovely trike.
The lack of commentary was a choice I made thinking that the scenery footage would do the talking for me. As for the music well that's subjective, but I am limited because I don't have anything like the budget I need to pay royalties on copyrighted music. I'm just one man with a very limited income, not a big media company with all its resources. The trike is still going but it's 5 years older now, my brother maintains it well. I will endeavour to include more routing and narrative in future videos.
It was a fantastic day Christina, and the food is very good considering the numbers catered for during such busy times. They don't keep you waiting long either.
Thanks Scott. I cooked some South African boerwors sausage and slapped on a generous coating of Eastern NC BBQ sauce, so stay tuned for the video release in the next few days.
My brother is the real biker, I'm just along for the ride Karla 😀 I went for more cinematic sounds in this video because the scenery is so awesome! Many thanks for your support 😄
Hahahaha. Think of a number and double it. You’re funny. Such a beautiful area that you live in. Wow on the amount of people in the car park. Holy butter beans, Batman.
Pete, this is an awesome video. Once a well travelled route by us, we lived in Denbigh, Lance's sister in Llanrhaeader, and his Mum in Ruthin. My grandma lived in Llanarmon-yn-ial, my Aunty still does :) Soon enough we will be driving these roads again.
👍12 Thanks again for this lovely ride Pete! I was thinking, as you are so passionate with history, why not tell an anecdote of an historical place with a traditional medieval recipe at the end!😃
You're welcome Wess, it was such fun to make this video. I'm planning some tours of the other famous Welsh castles, so your suggestion makes sense; I can tie in the trip with relevant food this way. Great suggestion mate!
About 10 miles from me the Horseshoe Pass beautiful place. Used to love going when I was a kid many years ago that like, to swim in the blue lagoon. I dont think it's there any more im sho they drained it.
Pete Thomas, I enjoyed this video as some of the scenic wooded areas reminds me of the trip to Maracas Beach in Trinidad. You guys look awesome on that great piece of machinery. The mountains in the distance oh so reminds me of going to Maracas with a European twist. Did the Ponderosa Cafe get its name from the trees in the surrounding hills? Those motorcycles were to die for. Take care Pete
Yes Carol the distant mountains remind me also of the drive North from Central Trinidad, it makes me yearn to be back in sweet TnT. I think the Ponderosa was a farm going way back, I think it retained its name when it became a cafe. I'm not sure where the name originated.
The scenery did do the talking, however it would have been nice to hear the exhaust note etc. I have made a few videos but have absolutely zero knowledge of editing or doing a voiceover etc, so I did my commentary as I went along but was too embarrasse to make them public. Let me know when you do your next one.
Narrating on the go is a non-starter on bikes and trikes due to wind interference, dead cat wind socks make little difference in such conditions. Most biker videos overdub the voice in post, the ones that don't sound awful. It may be a while before my next video because much of the financial incentive has gone, what little there was anyway.

I’m sure there is more interest for a major audience, in recovering things from the past then “how to make a big mac”
Just lovely. Wales is beautiful. I want to be there right now. And of course your meal breaks are always so delish. Totally enjoy these outings.
I do love it here in North Wales, and I also enjoy bringing you along on these rides Sha C. Be sure to look me up if you visit N. Wales.
Omg...look at that ride.
It's a fantastic ride Robert, so much fun and such great scenery!

I don't know of the blue lagoon, so I guess you are right about it being drained. Horseshoe Pass is a truly beautiful place for sure.

pete thomas: i was counting the motorbikes that you were passing on the road, then at 17:40 i lost count and gave up.
The roads and conditions were perfect for motorcyclists that day, they were out in droves!
You just drove past a mustang at 2:27
There are a few around town, RHD versions of Mustangs are available from and Ford dealer. My favourite American muscle car!
I Want to go home and roll down a hill or just sit and veg out
Hahaha that's funny 😆 I know what you mean though 😄
