I saw these things back in the early 2000's and it is the FUNNIEST SHIT I HAVE EVER SEEN. Unfortunately most of my friends do not have my sense of humor and think they are just dumb.
Luckily I had friends who all loved this kind of stuff when this was relatively new (watched on Ebaums World, of course). At least with the internet, you can find all us weirdo's who find this shit still funny after all these years. I was an 17-18 year old when I first watched it, still funny as a 31 year old.
Yeah, this video (along with MANY others) are only funny to those who originally viewed them back when "funny" was low-res videos of people getting hit in the dick. Don't get me wrong, I STILL like watching people get hit in the dick...But only if it's a .gif, and presented as a cascade on a singular website.
The early/mid-2000s were such a golden age of weird internet humor like this. I mean people still make oddball jokes on the internet today but it's usually just lazy, low-effort memes and gifs and shit like that. The amount of work and committment people used to put into surreal internet comedy like this back in the day was really something else, especially considering how non-user-friendly most editing software was at the time.
totally agree. someone at work mentioned these PSAs on a teams call today, I hadn't watched these in at least 10 years. I'm old enough to have been around when these first came out. the old internet was full of amazing offbeat bizarre humour like this.

These were memorized & recited in my house for many MANY years. Still are when the siblings n sht get together. These are the epitome of comedy for my teenage self and nothing has come close to entertaining me that much since.

I feel proud to know growing up in the 80’s as a huge GI Joe fan, having watched every episode and stupid PSA multiple times also watching these PSA remakes over the years, that I will always find these way funnier than anyone younger than me who didn’t. You had to be there to truly appreciate these.
same, dude. i miss those days, but at the same time... media has improved. it just needs a little nudge back into classic dubs and animations. that way, we will see the good ones quicker on the new improved platforms. i don't think UA-cam will make that nudge, though.
Course they won't they ban everything that isn't 100% made by its creators. Nudges won't help. Blame the big studios and producers I do, lost a lot of good music vids, comedy vids like this, reviews and mashups.
One of the things I love about these videos today is the pure mystery that comes from watching them. These pre-date the creation of UA-cam, and we really don't know much about their creation besides that they were created by some graphics artist named "Eric Fenser" in early 2003 (possibly even earlier). They were originally passed around via VHS tapes and USB sticks in college dorms before eventually some found they're way on Ebaums world. Beyond that we don't know if they're all just gibberish, inside jokes for other people, or actually referencing something. "Eric Fenser" appears that it might actually be a stage-name or pseudonym, so the identity and creation of these videos is unknown. Its like some sort of ancient artifact of internet history. They just sort of.....exist....

He also did some spot work on Sealab 2021, but his pal Doug Lussenhop really was a guiding hand in getting him onto the Adult Swim circuit. This isn’t new information, but yeah, the early 2000’s definitely saw a reclusive explosion of oddball creativity that seemed like a fever dream (and/or a hallucinogenic wasteland).

I saw these things back in the early 2000's and it is the FUNNIEST SHIT I HAVE EVER SEEN. Unfortunately most of my friends do not have my sense of humor and think they are just dumb.

Luckily I had friends who all loved this kind of stuff when this was relatively new (watched on Ebaums World, of course). At least with the internet, you can find all us weirdo's who find this shit still funny after all these years. I was an 17-18 year old when I first watched it, still funny as a 31 year old.

The early/mid-2000s were such a golden age of weird internet humor like this. I mean people still make oddball jokes on the internet today but it's usually just lazy, low-effort memes and gifs and shit like that. The amount of work and committment people used to put into surreal internet comedy like this back in the day was really something else, especially considering how non-user-friendly most editing software was at the time.
totally agree. someone at work mentioned these PSAs on a teams call today, I hadn't watched these in at least 10 years. I'm old enough to have been around when these first came out. the old internet was full of amazing offbeat bizarre humour like this.

I feel proud to know growing up in the 80’s as a huge GI Joe fan, having watched every episode and stupid PSA multiple times also watching these PSA remakes over the years, that I will always find these way funnier than anyone younger than me who didn’t. You had to be there to truly appreciate these.

One of the things I love about these videos today is the pure mystery that comes from watching them. These pre-date the creation of UA-cam, and we really don't know much about their creation besides that they were created by some graphics artist named "Eric Fenser" in early 2003 (possibly even earlier). They were originally passed around via VHS tapes and USB sticks in college dorms before eventually some found they're way on Ebaums world. Beyond that we don't know if they're all just gibberish, inside jokes for other people, or actually referencing something. "Eric Fenser" appears that it might actually be a stage-name or pseudonym, so the identity and creation of these videos is unknown. Its like some sort of ancient artifact of internet history. They just sort of.....exist....

He also did some spot work on Sealab 2021, but his pal Doug Lussenhop really was a guiding hand in getting him onto the Adult Swim circuit. This isn’t new information, but yeah, the early 2000’s definitely saw a reclusive explosion of oddball creativity that seemed like a fever dream (and/or a hallucinogenic wasteland).
