However he does that live too and it doesn't sound that thick and layered but for this type of scream without true vocal chord engagement it's really really loud and he loves to showcase it by not holding up the microphone and just screaming with the audience in smaller venues.

@@oglschmitt ^^^THIS^^^ -- Elizabeth would be the only metal vocalist who giggles onstage live after her own growls
@@alanclarke8117 It would work. Elizabeth's laugh does have a musical quality to it.
I hope Lorna Shore - “To the Hellfire” is coming soon. So much good vocal layering and different vocal style all from one beast @the charismatic voice
Yesssss! Fantastic song!
I don't want to hate on you or anything but I don't get why people like that song so much. I've listened to it a few times and the layering just makes me think how bad it's going to sound live. Otherwise it's just pretty run of the mill deathcore. Sure there are a few good vocals here and there and some light experimentation as well, but it's nothing phenomenal. Please change my mind if you want to, I'm willing to change my mind.
This!!!
@@actionhirvimoose4294 they'll play the extra vocal tracks in the background and Will would pick his favorite to do live with slightly more volume. It will sound great if they get the mix right
It's a bummer Will took down his live recording of To the Hellfire on his channel, It was incredible.
Реакции на slaughter to prevail это отдельный вид искусства. Одна реакция охуительней другой.
The most genuine “Nooooo.” As a metal fan, I can completely relate to the metal song ending too quickly.
Video not live at time of comment:
Respect to Elizabeth for taking on genres that are so far out of her normal listening. And being honest and giving a professional breakdown to the best of her ability.
FYI, that part where he yells "Demolisher" off mic, he does that live, and you can hear it that clearly through the venue
I've never heard the "DEMOLISHER" part on repeat so many times before 😅
16:52 I am in tears at how her face went from excitement to pure, unfiltered terror when she realized something was coming 🤣 🤘
So many “reaction” videos out there are just highlighting the video itself, but man I could listen to you talk about metal for hours. You have such an artistic way of receiving and processing this. It was FASCINATING, thank you.
“There’s a very very low sound in that”
Me- “lol just wait”
And after this give Will Ramos a listen with Lorna Shore - To the Hellfire. 😈
Edit; P.S: I'd love to see Alex voice-over Treebeard and other Ents in Lord of the Rings Amazon TV Show. 😉
Comparing a demon to a goblin?
Alex will devour those cute Lorna Shore guys.
and then Blasphemian :D
Lorna Shore & Dir En Grey are a must 🔥🔥
YES!
Alex does tons of covers that are actually super entertaining. The sia cover was awesome. The new sing baba yaga is epic as well. It shows a lot more of Alexis different styles.
Exactly what I wanted to say, Baba Yaga shows a lot more versatility IMO
I love his covers ... not to mention the videos he does for some of them are funny as hell. My introduction to Alex was his cover of Lonly Day and I was in stitches from laughing
I stood with my daughter 6 feet in front of him and I can promise there are NO effects to alter his vocals. I could hear his "true" sound under the miced music if that makes sense. He is truly a beast. But a gentle giant.
It's so inspiring how much you just love music in all It's forms. The wonder and curiosity you show toward this genre of music instead of disdain is heart warming. Thank you for the awesome videos you beautiful soul.

Lorna Shore: To the Hellfire...I truly can't get enough of that song..
YESSSSS we need this one reacted too. she would lose her mind!!!
@@jefferypirnat1320 Totally Agree! Haha
@@metalh3d872 bro, that song hits different for me!!! There are so many places it takes me and if I listen to it before anything else I have to force myself to listen to something else. Because right now nothing compares for me!!!
@@jefferypirnat1320 That song is Melodic and a hell of a beat down.. The vocals are harsh, but he doesn't push them during the verse so when breakdowns hit, you can feel and hear the difference. Song literally gives me chills..🤘
This one!!!!!!
I love the shock and confusion in her face 😂 and how she was shocked by the intro alone and replayed it soo many times before she ever got his demonic growl in the breakdown. I would love to see her react to some Infant Annihilator!
Love the way she analyzes everything technically, most people would say it's just screaming
Definitely not my cup of tea....however I have a strange urge to watch your complete reaction to this. And to those who love this stuff, rock on my metalheads. You have ears of steel. 🤘
It's kind of like spicy food, you develop a taste for it.
It's okay, this isn't every metalhead's cup of tea either. :) That's the beaty of metal music, it's such a staggeringly diverse genre.
@@Norpal This... is so true. I consider myself a bit of a metalhead, but I prefer symphonic/melodic metal over death metal. :D
@@stevenwilliams1805 thats a very good comparison.

Yes,we do!!!!
I have avoided all the reactions to Slaughter to Prevail but, when I saw you were reacting to/analyzing this, I had to watch. Your excitement is infectious! I still won't be adding this to my playlist but I understand it better and can appreciate it more. Thanks.
I love how most metal vocalists would be extremely happy if there low screams were what Alex Terrible's mid range screams are. Absolute weapon of a human being
This is someone who is so interested in Vocals and how they work that she delves into Extreme Metal which isn’t her genre to get a good grasp at how things work.
And I genuinely love people like that. They can push away from saying the ol ignorant comments and just appreciate it for what it is and actually figure out what it is.
That’s one of the things I love about her. She can dig into absolute gorilla crap, but she loves her science so much that there’s no way she’s going to stop until she tells you everything that gorilla ate for the last year. Ha.
@@celestinomoya4470 For a second I thought you where calling my beloved genres Gorilla Crap I had a raised eye for a second lol.

16:10 yes, in metal production it's common to layer a high scream with a low scream, to get a new sound, and so, the singer has to use different screaming methods to achieve each sound.
I just love how excited you get when hearing him, especially if you consider yourself a "metal baby".
Usually a lot of people just have a shock reaction.
Talent recognise talent. As fans of metal, we're all so used to people downplaying the skill and effort that goes into something like this. People / fans that care enough know exactly how special bands / individuals like this are

Next should be Baba Yaga by this band or To The Hellfire by Lorna Shore
To the Hellfire, definitely 👌🏼
To the Hellfire for sure!

I love people reacting to this song and breaking down the start when they have no idea what's about to happen to them when they get to the breakdown. Love your vids Elizabeth!
May I humbly suggest Cattle Decapitation. Travis Ryan is unique in his field.
That tongue thing Travis does still kind of freaks me out :)
Seconded, he makes so many inhuman sounds it is so fun to listen to the fuckery his face can produce.
What song you think? “Kingdom of Tyrants” or “Death Atlas” would be my choices.
You’re the only person I don’t mind when you interrupt breakdowns
Just the "Demolisher"-part without microphone (live, though) - he has some insane projection going (8 seconds btw):
ua-cam.com/video/HFh0TT_g8c8/v-deo.html
19:22 Yeah this is a studio recording. Of course it's at least 2 to 3 vocal lines layered. He doesn't do them simultaniously. Pretty common practice in metal and rock production. However he does that live too and it doesn't sound that thick and layered but for this type of scream without true vocal chord engagement it's really really loud and he loves to showcase it by not holding up the microphone and just screaming with the audience in smaller venues.
Love it. As a metal vocalist myself, I can tell you, yes, whenever you are wondering if the sounds are layered, they are. That's not just this band, pretty much all vocalists layer their vocals in post.
Go osdm for raw vocals.
I love hearing your pov always on point and very knowledgeable. Your bubbly personality is addictive.
1:58 "that's kinda nuts"
that, my lady, is what we in the biz like to call, an understatement.
When you get to Infant Annihilator just remember: start with Blasphemian and always keep in mind that they're basically a deathcore meme band. Apart from that, enjoy the journey into the pits of musical Hell. The scenery is interesting, at the least.
Oh lord. I cant wait till she starts down this rabbithole
The sick video version
She should start with soil the stillborn
We can't scar her that bad, they're too much for her 😂
I don't think she'll ever be ready for Blasphemian

I love how open you are to all kinds of music. I am learning so much and have TOTALLY fallen for Dio. My young personal trainer is shocked when I request Holy Diver. That is freaking amazing. I missed metal, now I’m 62 and loving it! And that Mongolian group, WOW!
You should check out Devin Townsend. He's so good and has a song for almost any style you can think of.
Dio was my favorite old school metal singer. The Holy Diver album is awesome. Also listen to albums he did with Black Sabbath. Killer.

"Slaughter to Prevail" is not Mongolian band. They are from Russia, from the Ural city of Yekaterinburg.
I think he means The Hu for the Mongolian band
