The babies crying and Jessie sighing makes the ending all the more dramatic. Typing that ALL MY CHILDREN was (is) creme de la creme is an understatement.
Thanks so much for posting this! I wanted to kick myself for missing the Jesse & Angie marathon! At least I got to see some of my fave couple ever, thanks again!
It probably has to do with how soaps seeme to have more free reign in the 1980s...since that time, the networks have employed heads of daytime who are very restrictive on them telling great stories and have to approve stories rather than let them write what they want and only step in if the final product stinks. early 1980s were awesome for AMC, especially 1983 (oh and it was also a great year in 83 since I was born that year! *smile*)
I loved the corporate Nina when she was coming into her own and grew up. I wish they would have kept her character on that path and not made her unstable. Jess and Angie were so good together. A great chemistry between the actors
I am not denying that but I am suggesting why they are not what they used to be...and likely in the 1980s they had more free reign. On ABC, for example, the Daytime President is very selective on what the soaps have for stories and tends to emphasize a dark vision and crap that most fans care not to see
Is it weird that after watching 5 minutes of this I'm completely hooked and enthralled, and yet I can't sit through 5 minutes now??
*sigh*
Thanks for posting this! I LOVE Jesse & Angie!

Dammmn, that was good. Best episode of AMC I've ever seen.

I love this classic scene!
I love Angie & Jesse together!
Dashani Bates Me too. They are my favorite Soap Opera Couple.
Girrrl, when he started dealing with the character played by Vanessa Bell Calloway I thought I was gonna die!!
Every time I listen to Jesse by Stephanie Mills I think of this dude.
I actually gasped when the baby was gone at the end. I can't remember the last time I did that while watching a current episode.

Angie and Jesse still look the same.

Angie was,a marshmallow in the,old days
Angie shouldn't have,behind Jesse's back
Maaan, those were the days. Jesse and Angie are one of the greatest soap couples of all time.
Debbi and Darnell are magic!!!
This is great. Where did you get this footage? Can it be purchased anywhere? Thanks for sharing.
Is this the episode that launched the series Loving?

Don't you mean love to hate? :)
