He’s knees and hip flexors play a huge part in his ability to contact the ground and turn over speed or a fast run. They are not false. I think he would be faster with real legs. There is no cheating. You go Hunter with your cute self

To me that would be complicated, it's like running on stilts on those things. Wish non amputees could try those blade running things. That would be a cool challenge to see what Hunter and others go thru every day, every month, every track meet.

I’m a colligate athlete running xc and track and this isn’t alright. The guy is a good athlete but for him to be compared to the other athletes and he considered better bc he is doing this as a double amputee is ridiculous. He is wearing speed enhancing legs, his legs are literally designed to be as fast as physically possible, faster than humanly possible. This gives him a clear advantage racing against regular athletes. Other athletes get trashed for using performance enhancing drugs to beat others where as he gets recognition for using performance enhancing legs. This isn’t hate that should just be “pushed aside” like they try to say in the video, racing in the Paralympic Games is completely acceptable but racing against regular athletes is unfair to them they don’t get to switch their legs into something faster.

Hey I love that Hunter ia not accepting defeat but there is an advantage over athletes with full bodies and that would be weight! Carrying bones is heavier than the blades. So yeah there very well may be an advantage but there also is the disadvantage beyond the track. I think those in the sport should speak up about it because their lives and that conversation should matter.

look at the times for world records and compare the men's and men's T43 (his class) and see that the times are slower, even with "speed enhancing legs"

      Men’s Paralympic T43 100m record is 10.90 Seconds, men’s Olympic 100m record 9.63 seconds, world record 9.58. Somehow I don’t think amputees have an advantage 🧐
