In Khoa’s case, I’m guessing she just went mind-blank. 😆 I worked retail in a mall and came across many people who I just couldn’t tell were a man or a woman so I would avoid addressing them while I helped them. Lol! Then there’s the whole transgender issue too. I came across one transgender man who got pissed because my coworker and I called him “ma’am”. (Is that correct? Calling him a “transgender man” when he transitioned from a woman originally? Or would he be a “transgender woman”?) anyways, he still had manicured nails, his long hair curled and everything. It was confusing. I helped him with finding some shoes and my coworker was the one who rang him out and he addressed him as “ma’am” like I did which made him blow up again. Lol.
