If you rotate it too fast. Will the material in the middle of the mould seperate and form thick ends and leave a skinny or no center at all?? Additionally, Is there a 4 axis machine for higher rpms made from a "C" frame instead of a square frame?
Where are you guys located? Could you rotocast us some speaker housings in the shape of skulls?
I wonder how much one of these (or a cheaper one) would set me back

You stick a mold in the middle and any liquid casting material you put inside that will be spread evenly, creating an evenly walled cast
Awesome build! I am building a 4x4 rotocaster. Finished it up this weekend but I'm having trouble finding a motor strong enough to rotate it. Do you have any tips on where to get a good motor, because your motor looks stellar!
You could buy a used treadmill for very little money. They have powerful motor. Keep the electronics intact. And then use the speed controller to vary the rotational speed. They sell used treadmill motors on Ebay that are not very expensive.

I counted the number of times the inner frame rotates with respect to the outer frame, and it looks like it uses something close to the golden ratio. Can anyone confirm?
