      The Worthy catch was the most frustrating. He took a bad route and didn't keep his feet in the right spot. I hope that he learns quickly from D-Hop's example.

      @@TerMa354 pat said he actually adjusted his route based on coverage, so he did the hard part correctly, which is great. But you can tell he's got some rookie jitters in these moments. Dhop def gonna help him learn how to handle his feet

    So glad I found your channel man. Casual fan looking to level up my understanding of the game. Sometimes you go over my head but I’ll catch up eventually!Repeated viewings help. • @pouraxial

    You can tell Gray and Watson have learned to adjust to zone looks with Patrick like Kelce (not on the same level obv). The whole team can do it. With KC, if you're in zone, youre likely to be gashed by a handful of dudes at this point on opt routes. And now they've got Hop, who is already elite at that, and getting in sync with Mahomes faster than (probably) most expected.
    Within half a season, theyve had to deconstruct and reconstruct an entire offense while still winning. Lessons from the challenges of last year paying dividends, putting them one step ahead of everyone.

    I love how good Patrick is with the tiny details like handoffs and RPO fakes - just creating the tiniest flinches or wrong footing the defense making tough plays easy
    Tom Brady was also incredible at just simple things like handoff versus play action, just a beautiful, smooth, highly deceptive action. Maybe helped his running back get an extra couple yards here and there. It adds up!

    I didn’t realize you played for Andy Reid, I moved to KC in 2016 and became a fan then. I enjoy your videos, thanks for doing them! How was it playing for Reid? Did you get the impression he was a great coach when you played for him? As a fan, I think he is amazing based on the results, but I always wondered how players saw him and if they had similar opinions.

  • @harrymills2770
    @harrymills2770 17 днів тому

    That deep throw to Hopkins was a Favre-to-Freeman special. Mahomes may have miscalculated, but he saw the same things Hopkins saw and put it in the soft spot. It was just maybe a beat late and the window was a bit small, but that was the window, and I think that's why none of the defenders really could make a play on the ball.
    I don't want to see very many of those in a game, because they expose the WR to a lot of danger. This one worked out well, and now it'll be bending defenses out of shape, worrying about that kind of insane pass attempt. Now work off that threat without going back to it, much.

    Strikes me that both that first catch off Kelce and that one from Watson at about 8:30 are both doing the same things of staying central and turning around in soft spot rather than running a corner. Makes me wonder if it is a called twist in the normal route concept, playing on everyone expecting the corner there.

    Obviously Mahomes is great. But I don’t get it this season. I thought maybe he was just making his reads different. But then he starts throwing all these picks. It doesn’t make sense what he’s doing out there. I get they are winning. I get they don’t need to score a lot to be great. But sometimes he’s not making the most out of the chances the chiefs defence gives him.
    It’s like he’s done learning and just relying on his former self. He needs to wake the fuck up.

      Aye bro. I get what your trying to say but let’s think about how the offensive line of the chiefs were all injured and mahomes had an injury on his foot. A loss is a loss. But apply some nuance. That next season everyone played that same defense against the chiefs and he smoked them all. That Tampa defense that year was legendary as well. Team was stacked.
