The Worthy catch was the most frustrating. He took a bad route and didn't keep his feet in the right spot. I hope that he learns quickly from D-Hop's example.
@@TerMa354 pat said he actually adjusted his route based on coverage, so he did the hard part correctly, which is great. But you can tell he's got some rookie jitters in these moments. Dhop def gonna help him learn how to handle his feet
You do the best breakdowns. I can't wait for you to drop a new video. I don't care what team you are covering I still watch, even though I'm a hometown Chiefs fan all the way.
So glad I found your channel man. Casual fan looking to level up my understanding of the game. Sometimes you go over my head but I’ll catch up eventually!Repeated viewings help. I don’t know how you guys are able to read the whole field so quickly. I can really only process a play by watching one or two players at a time.
Chase is brilliant at helping us understand how good... or off QBs can be. I absolutely recommend another excellent analytical channel, on all aspects of the game: ua-cam.com/users/ThinkingFootball. Peace, man.
You can tell Gray and Watson have learned to adjust to zone looks with Patrick like Kelce (not on the same level obv). The whole team can do it. With KC, if you're in zone, youre likely to be gashed by a handful of dudes at this point on opt routes. And now they've got Hop, who is already elite at that, and getting in sync with Mahomes faster than (probably) most expected. Within half a season, theyve had to deconstruct and reconstruct an entire offense while still winning. Lessons from the challenges of last year paying dividends, putting them one step ahead of everyone.
I see you, 10. Well, I hear you … always educational & easy to understand. I hope Worthy continues to learn & stays healthy - he’s not the biggest dude. Best of luck - you deserve it. Go Chiefs!
Imagine pacheco, juju, Hollywood brown, rashee, all back at the playoffs possibly.. thats going to be insane!! pacheco, hunt, perine rb trio, and juju, brown, rice, dhop, worthy, kelce, gray wr/te not yo mention adding omenihu return on our already top 3 defense in the NFL now.. its going to be an amazing playoffs run. #3peat
Thanks chase for this awesome Video! Quick Question: Is there any way I can also get access to Game tape like this - I'm a QB and woud like to improve reading defenses? Thanks in advance! Love your Videos!
Thanks for these breakdowns I love how good Patrick is with the tiny details like handoffs and RPO fakes - just creating the tiniest flinches or wrong footing the defense making tough plays easy Tom Brady was also incredible at just simple things like handoff versus play action, just a beautiful, smooth, highly deceptive action. Maybe helped his running back get an extra couple yards here and there. It adds up!
Everyone talking about results, numbers, and players... Meanwhile Chase with the most underrated and best educating NFL content out there breaking down the HOW. Thanks dude! Now if only we could get regular folks against these freaks of humans (I mean that in the most affectionate and endearing way) so people can perhaps just stop simplifying what they really accomplish and the level they actually perform.
I just saw the Mahomes mic'ed up video from that game. I'm wondering if this first play is the one where he actually calls out Kelce's name right before he throws the ball. It would explain why Trav was so ready for the ball. Those two are just magic, and a joy to watch.
I didn’t realize you played for Andy Reid, I moved to KC in 2016 and became a fan then. I enjoy your videos, thanks for doing them! How was it playing for Reid? Did you get the impression he was a great coach when you played for him? As a fan, I think he is amazing based on the results, but I always wondered how players saw him and if they had similar opinions.
That deep throw to Hopkins was a Favre-to-Freeman special. Mahomes may have miscalculated, but he saw the same things Hopkins saw and put it in the soft spot. It was just maybe a beat late and the window was a bit small, but that was the window, and I think that's why none of the defenders really could make a play on the ball. I don't want to see very many of those in a game, because they expose the WR to a lot of danger. This one worked out well, and now it'll be bending defenses out of shape, worrying about that kind of insane pass attempt. Now work off that threat without going back to it, much.
Chase, can you find any qb highlights from past legends that pick apart, move in the pocket, like Pat? Like show Pats pass into triple coverage then show a clip of 'xyz qb doing the same or similar." I bet there are few out there that compare. We are witnessing a phenomenon.
Strikes me that both that first catch off Kelce and that one from Watson at about 8:30 are both doing the same things of staying central and turning around in soft spot rather than running a corner. Makes me wonder if it is a called twist in the normal route concept, playing on everyone expecting the corner there.
Gives me some peace knowing that we are about to turn things up when the intangibles are pointed out from the film and D Hop has rhe trust of mahomes to change routes when he identifies the gaps in coverage.
It's MVP-type play byt the inconsistency to start the season have hurt his stats and its too much ground to make up. We can only hope we get rewarded in the playoffs
Dhop to the Chiefs is cheating. Everyone can talk about age, speed, blah blah blah. He about to pull a Moss in KC, he's hungry for a SB title for his HoF career and he about to get it, watch!
Obviously Mahomes is great. But I don’t get it this season. I thought maybe he was just making his reads different. But then he starts throwing all these picks. It doesn’t make sense what he’s doing out there. I get they are winning. I get they don’t need to score a lot to be great. But sometimes he’s not making the most out of the chances the chiefs defence gives him. It’s like he’s done learning and just relying on his former self. He needs to wake the fuck up.
I’ve noticed they are keeping the offens boring for now! They don’t want the nfl to see what’s coming! Go long go longer ! Get in the end zone I They are lulling the nfl to eeep

Ignorant clickbait title. You should know what stops any hof qb and that's a dominant 4 man rush. Like what the bucs did to mahomes in the Superbowl. The one that Brady will always says he has on mahomes
Aye bro. I get what your trying to say but let’s think about how the offensive line of the chiefs were all injured and mahomes had an injury on his foot. A loss is a loss. But apply some nuance. That next season everyone played that same defense against the chiefs and he smoked them all. That Tampa defense that year was legendary as well. Team was stacked.
See, people call it “glazing,” but we are really just recognizing their greatness.
Exactly
Lol na YOURE definitely glazing
I said it during the game … Mahomes is JACKED to have D-Hop on the team
with that Worthy td, mahomes shoulda had 4 passing td and 320+ yards😭
Yuppp
We can all see it's there, and just a matter of time until they hit.
@@zrunch and there was the Watson overthrow!

Love the take Chase! I see it every week, and it NEVER gets old! This offense is really starting to hum, and it's getting exciting.
It's really fun to watch!
Thx for the great analysis Chase.
Thanks for watching!
During that deep dhop catch, number 31 came in thinking he was gonna snag the ball and then sat there like “wha-how??” Great game.
Haha yup
Not worried about Worthy. I got him scoring on my parlay this weekend. He's going to learn a lot from Hop and Trav and JuJu. Dangerous come playoffs.

Great work again and i love how you do your thing on The Faculty.
Appreciate you!
Chase, keep up the awesome breakdowns, man. Always makes my week seeing how Mahomes crushes his opponents.
Thanks!!
Enjoying the schooling!!! Thanks Chase
Appreciate you big dog!!! Thank you for the insight ..
You probably never saw but I tagged you in a tweet asking for this ..

Rashee won’t be back this year. Hollywood probably back by playoffs but he’ll be rusty. Pacheco probably by December.
@johnmajor7053 pacheco should be back this month. Rice already swimming, and they're optimistic.. so we will see 🤞

Mahomes in pain is not dramatic. He won a Superbowl on a sprained ankle. That's literally super hero type shit
Unnecessary stray from backup Chase..
Maybe he meant too dramatic for him to watch
Does Travis kelce stuff! Watson isn’t throwing the ball but nice job bro
Mahomes's chemistry with Hopkins is terrifying. Like they've been on the same team since 5th grade!
Bro worthy is open so much it’s insane ..
Yup he’s a threat for sure.
Chase. Can you breakdown Burrows skills? Watching him during ravens game seems his form is elite.
Kelce and Mahomes? They've got a thing that's called radar love, they've got a wave in the air, radar love.

Why doesn’t TV have this view!??!? Should be like madden starting zoomed in & then zoom out
lol yes
Mahomes is teaching his guys to stay on the seams. Dhop is learning to be the decoy for Travis.
QUIT GIVIN AWAY OUR SECRETS!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
lol no secrets given
lol 😂 ❤
🤣 no secret that the Chiefs still can't be stopped if Andy gave up secrets himself 💪🏾
Chase, please report to the Dallas Cowboys
When mahomes make a throw to dhop like that, he's in the zone. Nobody is stopping that boy.
Nobody talks about Justin Watson enough. I know he's not a #1. But man he is clutch for mahomes every year

My man, Missouri QB1
I think its called a coffee house because you're stepping back like you would if you were about to walk away but almost left your coffee behind.
that throw to hopkings was all about 'fuk it go catch it mf'.
Literally just thought to look to see if you have released the Mahomes breakdown and right on queue, you just did 10 minutes ago.😂

Serious question. I would love to know your thoughts… why did we run the ball twice with 2:20 to go? A first down wins the game!!
Gives me some peace knowing that we are about to turn things up when the intangibles are pointed out from the film and D Hop has rhe trust of mahomes to change routes when he identifies the gaps in coverage.
The worthy pass looks like it was under thrown to me
The Bears didn't think he was that good.......
16:06 Nice

Chase is this mvp play? Or does it need to be stat driven?
It's MVP-type play byt the inconsistency to start the season have hurt his stats and its too much ground to make up. We can only hope we get rewarded in the playoffs
Now all the chiefs need is their left tackle to start playing better.

Do you have any eligibility left? Mizzou needs a QB for the rest of the season...
The Chiefs have been getting crazy lucky lately. They are definitely beatable. 3 out of the last 4 could have very well been L's
Worthy gotta do a better job watching his feet. He'll get that open again.
didnt they run the same exact power run like 13 times this game?
Yes
