BTS wasn’t a top group in 2014, their recent popularity is the reason all their old videos have such high view counts now. It doesn’t reflect their popularity at the time the videos were released. It’s amazing how their popularity has boosted the views of their old MV’s so much!
If I had to guess I’d say the top MV’s in 2014 (at the time, not now) were Eyes, Nose, Lips (Taeyang), Good Boy (GD and Taeyang), and Overdose (EXO), and Come Back Home (2NE1).
2014 was also known to be the ‘Worst Year for KPop’ because of all the scandals, members leaving groups, and lack of comebacks from popular groups. I’d say other years probably have it beat by now though. Particularly 2017 for 2nd Gen groups and obviously this year for the huge scandal still going on.
