Sampling again from that same bottle I get grappa notes. If we were honest and called it what it really is, a brandy liqueur or cordial, I would say it can compare somewhat favorably to Drambuie and certain Cognac/Armagnac liqueurs.
Tried a bottle of 7-star. Demoted to cooking brandy. Even the cheap St. Remy vsop is a better sipper at
IN Ontario metaxa is literally 1$ more than st remy VSOP much better value for taste imo
