I often use the little bags with that "Silica Gel" to keep the machines dry. You get them with every shoes or other stuff and then the only thing you have to do is put them into the container where your machines are. How do you keep yours dry when you store them?

I don't use alcohol or bleach on my machines. That will make them rust faster. I use germicidal solution and let it dry. I don't store them anywhere damp. Most of my machines are coated so they don't rust.

You probably have some plastic covering your cores. The cores themselves are usually steel wrapped in wire.

prob45aj Are you talking bout the machine frame or the cores. Find a diagram of a tattoo machine and tell me what part of the machine we are talking about

so cores are metal. That is how they work. They are made from steel or other metals that act like a magnet. Wire is wrapped around them and then electricity is turned on turning the metal cores into magnets that pull down on the armature bar. When you say they are plastic that wouldn't work. There are parts of the coils that are made from plastic, but the middle should be metal.
