Starting a fresh save does not save you from all the bugs, sadly. And to be honest, without that break between 1.0 and 1.1 it really starts to feel like the longest grindfest imaginable. I mean MMO-levels of grind. I'm not sure why the devs felt this was needed. Maybe to drag out the content? It just feels bad though after a while and has severely hampered my desire to replay in the future. For me, I feel that Coral Island could have been very special, but instead it has just become a sad conglomeration of bugs, awkward cut scenes, missing content and waiting for content that should have been in the game for 1.0 but won't be seen now until 1.3, if ever. At this point I am not even sure I will continue when 1.3 drops.
Part of me really wants to start a new save, but I'm afraid of the bugs. I know the devs are working on a bunch of bug fixes, but I lack the confidence that they will do it correctly. 😂Maybe after a large hot fix...maybe?!? I have reached the point where the devs really need to prove that they are up for the job, because it doesn't seem that they are. That is why I get so frustrated because they don't give this game or the players the respect they deserve. They are sitting on something SOOO special but treat it with so little respect. I will play 1.3 for the channel (I probably will wait for it to run smoothly this time), but I really don't know if I want to start the grind of a new save. Like you said, they opted to create a game with so much grind and wasting time it puts a lot of other games to shame! The difference is on the other games, I'm happy to grind away on it because the game runs smoothly with minimal bugs. The cutscenes are very gringy, I have seen all the land-dweller scenes and half were a waste of time! I would rather they omit the cutscenes all together and concentrate on content that works as it should!
